This nostalgic car birthday greeting uses the Geared Up Garage Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) found on page 43 of the Occasions Catalog.
My husband, whom we fondly call Bob the Builder, can fix just about anything! When I saw this Bundle I knew I had to own it. This is the Happy Birthday card I created for his celebration next month. I’ve included pictures of the completed card, along with cutting dimensions and supplies, below the video in today’s post. Be sure to scroll down to see them.

Nostalgic Car Birthday Greeting Details
Among the images in this stamp set, there’s a grunge image that’s perfect for backgrounds. During the video, I’ve pointed out how to mute the image to create layers of texture when stamping. It’s a really nice stamping technique to use on your handmade cards.
This nostalgic car features Silver Metallic Thread, which I eliminated during the video to provide you with an alternate appearance. The coordinating Garage Gears Thinlits Dies eliminate all the fussy cutting.
I colored in the image using the Dark Red Stampin’ Blends Marker. I didn’t bother with shading as the artist provided amazing detail in the stamp image. I’ve provided tips on using the Color Lifter for shading the headlights and hub caps during today’s video.
The Pick A Pattern Washi Tape includes 5 different patterns and widths. The black and white patterns are perfect for a huge array of cards, especially this nostalgic car. There’s additional tips in the video about using this Washi Tape as well.
Cutting Dimensions

- I used Thick Whisper White cardstock for the nostalgic car image
