Learn how to make a thank you card with an easy design idea in today’s video tutorial. I’ll walk you through step by step on using punched circles and the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies to make this easy layout.
If you look closely you’ll notice that I used vellum for one of my circles. Not only will today’s video provide a tip on adhering the vellum but how to punch it out so you have a clean line. You won’t want to miss this tip!
My thank you card uses the promotional new stamp set More Than Words for the greeting. I love the ability this stamp set provides by allowing me to interchange the greetings to create my own message. This set pairs perfectly with the promotional Story Label Punch, too. You’ll find all the details on these products – and more – by clicking HERE. But hurry! They are only available from March 1 – 31 while supplies last!
Don’t miss the BONUS PROJECT using the More Than Words stamp set I’ve also included below.

Thank You Card Details
The best part of this thank you card layout is that the circles can be substituted for any shape. Change up the designer paper and vellum to all cardstock and exchange the die cut leaf for a flower, balloon, etc.
A simple color palette allows the greeting for this thank you card to be anything you’d like. Want more color? Try Melon Mambo or Mango Melody. Not a fan of green but want masculine tones? Try Merry Merlot or Pacific Point. The possibilities are endless!

Bonus Project – More Than Words
While not a thank you card, this layout and greeting are bound to bring a smile to the face of those going through the seasons of life. Isn’t this greeting fun and unique?
This fun greeting deserved a layout all it’s own. I used the Dot to Dot embossing folder over the stamped words “Bravery”. The Stampin’ Write Markers are perfect for coloring in various areas of a stamp for a multicolor image. Use circle punches to create a decorative edge and you’ve got another easy design idea.
Cutting Dimensions
- Whisper White cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
- Whisper White cardstock layer is cut 2 3/4″ x 4″

I help to make sympathy cards for our local children’s hospital. The nurses give a card to families who have lost a child and they go through about 150 a month 🙁 so I am always looking for attractive cards that I can make reasonably quickly. This design and colour scheme is perfect for that so I will make a bunch this weekend to donate. I can also see it in fun happy colours with a balloon for a bithday card. Great to use up scraps of DSP too. Thanks for all you do – I really enjoy watching your videos every morning with my coffee.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for coming by today. What a wonderful way to provide encouragement to both the nursing staff and for the families receiving your cards! That’s a TON of cards to make and thrilled that today’s card provides an idea for a quick and attractive card. I’m so glad you enjoy what I share and I’m so glad you follow me. Have a great weekend!
