Today we’re talking about how creative card ideas make you a better human. Crazy title, right? But seriously, sitting down with stamps, paper, and ink gives you the ability to make creative card ideas which you can choose to share and send. It relieves stress in you and provides cheer or support to the recipient of that lovely handmade card!
Today’s creative card definitely appeals to our crafty side. I’m using the Crafting Forever stamp set (annual catalog) to create this simple card. Great news about this stamp set too, it’s being carried over into the new catalog that debuts on June 4.
There’s a single image of these pens that include three different styles. Simply stamp the image two using Memento ink on scrap cardstock and color in using your favorite medium. I’ve used Stampin’ Blends Combos in Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Balmy Blue. What makes this an easy creative card is that there is no blending. I simply used the Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. These alcohol-based markers are wonderful to work with – they leave no streaks behind like a typical dye-based marker and provide flawless coverage.
Once I colored them, I cut them out using my scissors (it’s WAY easier than you think – watch the video!) and adhered them in varying lengths on the card base. I also share a tip in the video about the layout and stamping the greeting so be sure to watch.
