How about a greeting card design idea that will have you relaxing? And it has a fun masculine card feel to it!
Summer is around the corner and we all day dream of warm, gentle breezes, hearing the ocean waves crash along the shore and long, lazy days. Ahhhhhhh!
And relaxing is what today’s card is all about. Not only do we need it during busy times in our life, we need it during certain “seasons”. This card can be changed up to include any sentiment but today it’s displaying one for a friend that I’m praying for.
I’ve used the Lilypad Lake Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies). The Bundle is retiring on June 3 so hurry and get it now while you can save 10%. As of June 4 the stamp set and dies are sold separately.
Masculine Greeting Card Design Idea Details
While this color palette may lend credence to a more masculine card, it can be changed up (think Real Red and Pacific Point) with a different greeting and would be perfect for graduation, retirement, birthday and thank you cards. This set includes multiple images perfect for some of those occasions!
I used Shimmery White cardstock to create a watercolor wash technique. You might wonder if the shimmer takes away from the masculine card – but it doesn’t! The shimmer is ever so subtle! This card emulates shimmery waves with a nautical feeling.
Stampin’ Blends are my favorite way to color an image because of their flawless alcohol-base which leaves a professional, streak-free finish. No blending required!
