I’ve got the most adorable Happy Tails greeting cards aka “dog cards” to share with you today. There’s nothing cuter than wagging puppy tails and smiling dog faces, right?! This card is perfect for the dog lovers in your life, your pet sitters, and your favorite vet!
During last night’s YouTube Live I demonstrated a “Just Fur You” card and shared four other layouts using the Happy Tails Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punch). The Happy Tails Bundle is also the feature of this month’s card making kit. Details for this month’s kit can be found HERE. Ordering ends tomorrow, Saturday, May 11th at 11:59PM EST.
Check out the adorable dog card in the YouTube Live recap below and then be sure to scroll down to view the pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies.

Dog Card Details
While I love to “mix and match” images from different stamp sets, this card uses only the images from the Happy Tails set. You can create faux patterned paper backgrounds using one stamp! Here I’ve used the paw print repeatedly in the coordinating Bermuda Bay ink pad and cardstock. Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination is second to none!
The Bundle contains both the Happy Tails 16-piece photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Dog Builder Punch. That means no fussy cutting!
I colored the image using the alcohol-based Smoky Slate Combo Stampin’ Blends markers but you can certainly use watercolor pencils, markers or even watercolor. Want additional easy options for coloring this dog? Check out the card samples in this month’s card making kit HERE.
The banner makes the perfect landing space for the dog, all while providing the perfect location for the greeting. Plus, I added a few glitter enamel dots for added texture and color. How can you resist a little bling – even on a dog card?
Cutting Dimensions
- Smoky Slate cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
- Bermuda Bay cardstock layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Thick Whisper White cardstock for the banner is cut 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
