I used the Floral Essence Bundle to create this first card. The Perennial Flower Punch make the perfect flower blossom with ease! It might be difficult to see in the picture, but I stamped the petal image using Memento in on Blackberry Bliss cardstock. The deep tones are showcased through the coordinating Perennial Essence Designer Paper. The entire Floral Essence suite of products can be found on page 107.
The hand-painted impressionistic imagery can be found throughout the entire pack of designer paper. The 12 sheets; 2 each of 6 different designs boast rich tones in an array of colors.
Card Layout Episode #1: Sample A
This suite of products includes the Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock. I chose to emboss this layer using the Country Floral Embossing Folder and reverse the pattern so the debossed side faced up. The white areas provided by the deep impression of this folder provide the perfect coordination to the white cardstock layer.

Card Layout Episode #1 – Sample B
My second sample uses the Daisy Lane Bundle (stamp set + coordinating Medium Daisy Punch). My side layer is a bit narrower than the Floral Essence card above to accommodate the daisy stem proportion.
I stamped the daisy image using Pineapple Punch ink and then added color to various areas of the petals using a sponge dauber in Pumpkin Pie ink. Add a few rhinestones for sparkle!

Card Layout Episode #1 – Sample C
My final card sample uses the Tropical Chic stamp set and the coordinating dies. Isn’t that designer paper bright and cheerful – and different! You’ll love the colors and patterns included in the See a Silhouette Designer Paper (page 166). These color-washed silhouettes has the look of pigment sprinkles for fun artistic backgrounds.
Are you wondering where the top layer is? I substituted it with the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Allow the layers of a sketch an opportunity for you to improvise.

Hi Lisa,
Fellow demonstrator from Maine here……just wanted to let you know that in your tax free table the abbreviation for Maine is “ME”. You have it listed as “MA” which is actually Massachusetts. Just don’t want people from Mass to think this applies to them.
Have a great day!!!!
And thanks for all your wonderful videos!!!!!!

Hi Claire! Thank you SO MUCH for your comment. I’ve made a correction in the state within this blog post. I would hate for anyone to mis-informed!
Great sketches, Lisa! Love all the great ideas you showcase here!
Hi Patt! I’m so glad that you’ve enjoyed what I’ve shared. Thanks for coming by to take a look.
Hi Lisa,
I am very excited about your card sketch series! I struggle with designing cards and this series will be very helpful.
The Floral Essence bundle is one of my favorites in the catalog and so happy to have coordinating punch. Love punches!
It is nice to see alternatives using the same sketch which helps the creative juices to flow.
I so appreciate that you give us the measurements as well, making for a fun creative time.
Thank you for all you share.
Hi Kathy! I’m so happy to read that you’re excited about this new card sketch series. Like most stampers, I find it easier to know where the pieces go when creating a card. I’m looking forward to sharing more ideas with you!
Love the new series, you do such a great job on your videos, tons of ideas and helpful hints, thank you!
Hi Laura! I’m so glad that this new series is well anticipated! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement about my videos!
Lisa, this series you’ve started is amazing! I LOVE it! I’ve forwarded your email here with the links to my friends! Thank you so much for all your hard work. I love the different cards you made that show the versatility of this sketch! And the tips about vellum are awesome! I can’t wait for what other great ideas you have! Woohoo!
Hi Dianne! I’m so glad you’re excited about this new card layout series. Thank you for sharing this link with your stamping friends. I have lots more layouts with cutting dimensions and various samples coming. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
You didn’t list all of the paper mrasurements.
Thanks for your comment. The layer for the designer paper was added to the portion of the sketch measuring 3″x 4″. You can choose to add another layer over the top, as I have, or leave it that size. The designer paper was cut 1/4″ smaller than the 3″x 4″ in the sketch measuring 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. Hope that helps.
What is the measurement for the DSP paper?
Thanks
Very pretty card.
