I’ve got 3 Halloween crafts that are easy to make and the best part is that these ideas can be used all year long. Change up the theme for Christmas gifts, birthday party favors, a child’s classroom party, showers, wedding favors and the list goes on!
We have lived in our current home for 18+ years and every year we gather with our neighbors, typically in our driveway because we live on the corner, to pass out candy to trick or treaters. We love that we get to fellowship with everyone and provide a safe place for children and their families to visit. It’s a fun time of catching up with everyone and it’s a highly anticipated annual event.
I’ve included pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies for each project, plus a picture of the candy bar wrapper template I used in the video. Be sure to scroll down past the video to see them.

Halloween Crafts – Idea #1
The Boo to You stamp set was used to create all three of today’s projects. The adorable faces in this set are what convinced me it would be a crowd favorite.
I used the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes for my first project. These 2″x2″x2″ boxes are perfect for filling with candy and small gifts. I used a strip of designer paper to wrap one side of the box. The Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers are my favorite coloring medium because of the flawless coverage. I used them on all three of my ideas.
And don’t forget the googly eyes! This year’s Holiday Catalog includes an assortment of googly eyes (page 57) in 4 colors.
While I don’t make handmade Halloween candy favors for every child that visits (we usually get 300-400 kids!), I create at least a dozen to hand out to our neighbors kids. And in all honesty, their moms typically swipe them from their hands, begging them not to open it so they can copy the idea for another party! 😀 Isn’t that the best part of what we do as paper crafters? We get to share what we love and inspire others!
- Perennial Essence Designer Paper strip was cut 2″ x 9″. Watch the video for tips on adhering.
- I used 15″ of Glittered Organdy Ribbon and 8″ of Whisper White Baker’s Twine for the box pictured here. In the video I used 20″ to make a knot.
Chocolate anyone?! Wait until you see this treat in motion – watch the video!
The new Holiday Catalog “Come to Gather” Designer Paper includes rich fall tones and a non-traditional style. This plaid was perfect for my full size Hershey’s chocolate bar. Not only is this project easy to create, it’s amazingly impressive because of the slide out feature!
I used the 1/2″ circle punch to create the hole to insert the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon (and it comes in 5 colors!). Simply pull the ribbon and out slides the candy bar.
- Come to Gather Designer Paper was cut 6″ x 6 1/2″. Watch the the video for details on wrapping and adhering.
- Thick Whisper White cardstock was used for the image and the square was die cut using the Layering Squares Dies.
- Cajun Craze cardstock layer is cut 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
- Mint Macaron cardstock for the greeting is cut 1″ x 1″ or you can use the Layering Squares Dies.
Did you know that 600 million pounds of candy are sold each year, specifically for Halloween? That’s a lot of candy! But like me, you might like another paper crafting idea that still provides a small gift/ without adding sugar. Meet my favor pouch!
I used the See a Silhouette Designer Paper for this project and colored this little monster to coordinate. Once again the 1″ circle punch was used to hold the greeting, which I strategically placed under his hand.
If you still enjoy giving traditional candy treats, individually wrapped licorice, candy sticks and pixie sticks all fit nicely. Want to provide a smaller treat? Cut the length of this template down.
- Designer Paper or cardstock is cut 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and scored at 1/2″ and 2″. Watch the video for complete adhesive placement.
