Card and Gift Card Holder –  Details

The Christmas Gleaming Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punches) will create beautiful, quick cards this holiday season. When you’re mass producing cards, nothing’s faster than punches! *Spoiler alert* – this bundle of products will be the focus of my November card making kit. 

I used a single strip of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper. Using two score lines, the paper easily wraps from the front of the card to the inside cover, creating the gift card pocket. The 1″ Circle Punch provides the perfect notch to easily insert and remove the gift card.

Make sure you use double-sided designer paper for this project. The second scoreline is a valley fold and will reveal the opposite side to create the pocket for the gift card.

The copper foil accents in this designer paper called for an equally impressive focal point. After stamping the ornament image using Versamark ink, I used Copper Embossing Powder my Heat Tool. Can you ever have too much sparkle and shine at Christmas? I don’t think so!

An Aqua Painter can provide subtle color without overpowering a card. Touches of Pretty Peacock and Night of Navy coordinate with the designer paper and add some rich tones to this otherwise simple card.

Store bought gift card holders are not only pricy but often times still paired with a greeting card. This project saves both time and money since you’ll create both at the same time. And what better way to present a gift then with your handmade creation!

• Thick Very Vanilla cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
• Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper is cut 3″ x 12″, score at 5 1/2″ and 9 1/2″
