I’ve got 3 DIY gift ideas you’ll love to make. These handmade gifts are quick to make, require minimal supplies and are budget friendly! I’ll show you how to incorporate designer paper and punches to create a magnet board, a dry erase board and a serving tray. If you need handmade gift ideas for the holidays or any other occasion then this gives you some ideas.
During today’s video I’ve included lots of tips about the frames. I’ve come to learn that while dollar store frames are great for a few of these projects, a sturdier frame is more favorable for my third idea.
I’ve included pictures for each idea, along with a list of supplies listed below. Be sure to scroll down to see them.

DIY Gift Ideas – Details
Gift idea #1 – Create a magnet board using a simple dollar store frame and magnets. I layered both the magnet sheet and the top of the magnets with designer paper. This gift is perfect for a small command center, for a student’s dorm room or even as a teacher’s gift.
The Layering Circles Dies or circle punches provide quick coverage for the magnets. Additionally, you’ll love the coordination that designer provides to your project!
Gift Idea #2
Dry erase boards are practical since they can be reused over and over again. This dollar store frame utilizes the glass as the writing surface and can easily be cleaned with with a tissue or paper towel. Don’t forget to include the dry erase marker when creating this gift.
Choose to personalize the designer paper insert and this simple project will make great wedding gifts and inexpensive gifts for friends and family.
Put those punches to good use! I used the Medium Daisy. Leaf and 1/2″ Circle punches to create the flowers. Not only are they quick and easy, they add the perfect touch to dress up this simple frame. Don’t miss my tip about adhering these flowers – all in today’s video!
Gift Idea #3
Serving trays are not only a beautiful way to dress up your decor but they’re practical. Whether you choose to use them to hold perfumes and jewelry or candles and books, this gift idea is easy to create.
