Quickest Christmas Cards Details

Here’s a huge tip for you. If you want quick cards, use a piece of designer paper to cover the entire front of your cardstock base! Choose a pattern that has detail images or bold color patterns for the biggest emphasis.

Allow the designer paper to do the “work” and add a simple greeting. I used the Everyday Label Punch on these cards and added a faux layer. You won’t believe how easy it is to create additional layers to your punched greetings or images using a shaped punch. Watch the video for details!

You could easily stop at the designer paper and greeting but I wanted to add a bit more color by adding some ribbon and the coordinating Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots.

The Toile Tidings Designer Paper includes nostalgic imagery. I can’t help but want to hum “Over the River and Through the Woods…” when I look at this paper! 😆 The papers are double-sided providing numerous options and the designs are available in both Real Red and Garden Green.

In addition to the nostalgic wintery scenes you’ll find patterns for stripes and this holly print. I used the exact same layout and simple changed up the greeting.

Cutting Dimensions

• Very Vanilla cardstock base is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
• Toile Tidings Designer Paper is cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
• I used 8″ of ribbon (watch the tips in the video about adding this ribbon)
