Kraft Pillow Boxes (annual catalog page 172) include a pretty swiss dot pattern. Ten boxes are included in a package for $5 (U.S.). That’s only .50 each. The best part about today’s project is that you’ll only need half providing 20 gift boxes at .25 each.
I cut the pillow box in half at 3″ while it was folded flat. You can use your paper trimmer or your scissors. Assemble the bottom of the box using the pre-scored lines. There’s no need for adhesive.
We’ve had a hot cocoa tradition in our home for more than 29 years. Nearly every night during December we make a cup and enjoy it while watching a Christmas show. This cocoa and cookie pattern might be one reason why the Night Before Christmas Designer Paper appealed to me.
I punched out the image and created a second layer using my Layering Circles Dies. I share a great tip in today’s video about creating some curvature to the image and greeting so it rests perfectly on the front of the pillow box.
The 3″ x 6″ gusset cellophane bags fit perfectly inside and can hold cookies, candy or small gift items. This project is both impressive and economical and a great teacher, neighbor or co-work gift for the holidays!
