Embossing Paste Details
Embossing Paste is not a new product but one that’s often overlooked. Page 181 of the annual catalog features two Embossing Pastes; White (matte finish) and Shimmery White. You can alter the color of your paste by adding a few drops of ink refill, too! This fun paste is great on its own or use it over decorative masks/stencils.
The Woodland Embossing Folder provides the perfect overlay to these tree images without compromising the gorgeous shimmer of the snow banks. This winter card would be perfect for thanking family and friends who remembered you this holiday season. Know someone with a winter birthday? Change up the greeting!
The best tip I can give you about using Embossing Paste is not to fuss over how it turns out. This texture paste is intended to be whimsical and chunky. For best results purchase the Palette Knives I’ve included in the supply list below. The package includes three styles of knives that will have you spreading paste like a pro – all three for only $5!
Layout Idea #2
This same layout – minus the embossing paste – is used on the get well card shown below. Die cut an opening of any shape and you’ll have a perfect spot to add a punched image, embellishment or greeting.
The Medium Daisy Punch fits perfectly in this scalloped circle opening. I added a few leaves using the Leaf Punch and a fuzzy flower center using the Perennial Essence Floral Centers. And don’t forget the shimmer! This card uses the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots from the limited time Christmastime is Here Suite.
