Angled Layer Card Details
The Tropical Chic stamp set (page 93) provides fun and summery images and greetings for all types of occasion cards. In addition to these wonderful images, there are coordinating Tropical Dies (page 197). I’ve used this set for a multitude of occasions for both men and women and love the background images included in this set, too.
I’d seen numerous cards created with angled layers and while I attempted several times to create it them I always ended up wasting more cardstock than I used. Until I had an epiphany – which I share in today’s video. This angled layer remedy is both effective and simple.
The Well Said stamp set (page 47) has a coordinating set of dies called “Well Written” (page 197). I mistakenly said it was available as a Bundle to save 10% when in fact that was last year’s catalog. 😯 After 21+ years as a demonstrator, sometimes I forget. My sincere apologies.
Trust me when I tell you that this stamp set and the coordinating dies have been a loved product in my studio. The ability to create custom phrases for both the inside and outside of my cards, along with the coordinating greeting dies, has made it one of my favorites to use.

Cutting Dimensions
- Basic Black cardstock base is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Granny Apple Green cardstock layer is cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ – watch the video for details on creating the angled layer
- Granny Apple Green cardstock for the greeting is cut 1 5/8″ x 2″
- Whisper White cardstock layer is cut 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″
