Adorable Greeting Card Details

Struggling with a background? Use a coordinating image from the same stamp set to create a repetitive background in one color. This simple color palette made it easy for me to decide to use Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the background image.

I used the Stampin’ Blends markers to color in the ladybug. Be sure to use Thick Whisper White cardstock when using the Stampin’ Blends. Not only will the blending be easier but the finished result is a much smoother, consistent color. Don’t skimp on good cardstock. It makes a huge difference in your card making.

The idea for these wire antennas came while I was cutting out the image. As much as I don’t mind fussy cutting, I refused to work around the tiny stamped antennas. That’s when an old idea came to mind – let’s make them wire! Today’s video will share numerous tips on how to create them and it’s much easier than you think!

If you plan on purchasing craft wire I’d like to give you an important tip. The higher the gauge of wire, the thinner the wire will be. For instance, 28 gauge is thinner than 24 gauge. While thinner wires will be easier to work with, they’ll be more delicate in appearance.
