Quick Simple Card Details
This simple card quilt technique uses squares of coordinating designer paper in alternating patterns and rows. Emboss the finished pattern for a look that will have the receiver wondering how you made it.
The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Paper includes patterns with a mosaic tile design. Some of the images are floral and include shiny accents. But flip it over and you’ll have designs that can be used for all kinds of different cards.

Quick Simple Card #2
I created this alternate idea using the Perennial Essence Designer Paper. These hand-painted impressionistic images are full of rich colors. The Country Floral Embossing Folder add the perfect interest to this card.
Use those punches! I coordinated two different ones to create this greeting. Not only is is quick and simple but the layers add the perfect interest to this quilt technique background.
Cutting Dimensions
- Cardstock base is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Cardstock layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Designer Paper squares are cut 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″. Use a die, punch or your paper trimmer.

I love this idea of making the card look like a quilt. My mother has made beautiful quilts and I have a friend who quilts. You have given me a great idea for cards to make for them. I don’t have the paper for the first one but I do have the same papers of your second card. TFS
