When you think “technique” you might think that “that takes time”. These easy card making ideas can be completed in minutes and will leave you with beautifully, impressive images. Those receiving them will ask “how did you do that?”.

Inking Techniques on Cards – Thumping

Choose a solid image stamp for this technique. Select one ink pad and a coordinating dye-based marker, making sure the ink pad is a lighter shade than your marker. Ink up the image in the ink pad then thump the marker tip against the inked stamp. Talk about a simple WOW!

Cutting Dimensions

Pretty Peacock cardstock (base): 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Pretty Peacock and Balmy Blue cardstock (strips): 5/8″ x 3 3/4″, cut 3-4 of each color
Whisper White cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Vellum cardstock: 3″ x 4 1/4″

Inking Techniques on Cards – Two Tones with Ink Spots

Bermuda Bay cardstock (base): 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Pool Party cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White cardstock (image): 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
Whisper White cardstock (layer): 2 5/8″ x 4 5/8″
Bermuda Bay cardstock (layer): 2 3/8″ x 3 7/8:
Designer Paper: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Ribbon: 18″

Inking Techniques on Cards – Rock N’ Roll

You don’t need to like heavy metal for this rock n’ roll technique! Choose two color ink pads and roll away. Watch the video for details about which color to use first and the best way to achieve this random look!
