Slider Card Tutorial: Details
During this pandemic, now’s a great time to create handmade cards for family, friends and others in our community to keep them encouraged. The greeting on this card will remind them to do just that!
Horses are majestic and strong and perfect for this encouraging greeting card. The images and greetings are from the Let it Ride stamp set. I used the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Combo alcohol-based markers for this image.
The hidden panel between the front and back layers allows the window of this card to be filled with another image/greeting. Layering Circle Dies make it easy to create!
Don’t miss the video that’s loaded with tips for making this one-of-a-kind card!
The beautiful images in this stamp set don’t have to be colored. Stamp them using your favorite color ink!
Slider Card Tutorial: Idea #2
The Lily pad Lake Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) are on the retired list. These two products are only available while supplies last through June 3. It’s a versatile since the images and greetings are perfect for both men and women.
I kept the inside of this card simple by using the same color ink pad for both the water and sailboat image. It’s a great way to use outline images to save time or if you’re not a fan of coloring.

Great card luv the horse
Thanks, Brenda! Such a fun slider card. Hope you’ll give it a try!
Love these cards. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Betty!
I always wish you showed the finished project up front so we get a better idea what is being created. I also wonder about this slider card that the back is not attached at all?
I was wondering the same thing too!
Hi Katrina! Thanks for stopping by. I specifically don’t share it beforehand because there’s a picture of the project on the thumbnail of the video as well as in this blog post where you’re commenting. All three pieces of the card are attached together to make the slider. I’d love to see you give this fun fold a try. Create alongside the video and stop and stop as you’d like. It’s quite easy!
Hi Ann! Thanks for stopping by. You’re watching a replay of the Live and I specifically don’t share it beforehand because there’s a picture of the project on the thumbnail of the video as well as in this blog post where you’re commenting. All three pieces of the card are attached together to make the slider. I’d love to see you give this fun fold a try. Create alongside the video and stop and stop as you’d like. It’s quite easy!
What a great card. Might keep the idea tucked away and use at Halloween!
Toni, a Halloween card is a brilliant idea! Thanks for coming by to watch.
I love your tutorials but you don’t ship to the UK. Is there any way I can buy the stMps you use?
Hi Julia! I’m so happy to read you enjoy what I share. To see if Stampin’ Up! sells in your country, head over to the demonstrator locator at http://www.stampinup.com. Thanks for your interest!
I like interactive cards and think I can figure this one out from your precise directions.
This is such a fun card, Hope. I know you can absolutely create it. It’s not difficult, it just has three main pieces. Enjoy!
Beautiful cards Lisa 🙂 I’ve made this one a while back, but lost the measurements. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Karen! Thank you for the kind words. So glad this information was helpful so you can revisit the idea with the video and cutting dimensions I’ve shared. Thanks for coming by!
Beautiful card – I tried to make this from memory. Now I have to do it with the video as I messed up. It would be great if you created a PDF for this card. Thanks for sharing!!!! 🙂
Hi Jennifer! Since I have a step-by-step video I’ve not seen the need for a PDF tutorial as most stampers tell me they are visual learners vs. reading. However, I appreciate the feedback. So happy you like the card. Thank you for stopping by!
Thank you for providing such great ideas and instructions. My 83 year old dad will love this card!
I’m so glad, Vickie! Thanks for stopping by!
