Want to learn the best thing about making a floating bridge card? Check out this fun tutorial for a great creative card idea!
Today’s fun fold card making idea has an interesting 3D look. It’s easy to create with just a few score lines and scrap pieces of cardstock for the bridge.
I used Stampin’ Up!’s Peaceful Nativity Bundle for the card in today’s video but don’t miss the other two samples I’m sharing below. Scroll down to see pictures, cutting dimensions and all the supplies.

Floating Bridge Card Details
I love to purchase my products as a Bundle. Not only do I save 10% on the purchase of the stamp set and coordinating die/punch, I’m assured to have all the parts and pieces to make my cards quickly and easily. The nostalgic Peaceful Nativity Bundle can be found in the Mini Catalog on page 17.
I colored my images using the Stampin’ Blends Markers. The stable was stamped using Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock – a great time saving trick to eliminate coloring.
Wondering where you’ll sign your card? Turn the card over and the flat panel on the backside is the perfect spot.
And the best part about this fun fold – it folds flat for mailing and fits perfectly in a medium envelope.
Floating Bridge Card – Idea #2
There’s nothing like “Coming Home” for Christmas and this Bundle provides all the warm, cozy feeling of home with varied house images. Decorate using the landscape dies, trees, lamp posts, wreaths and the cutest VW Bug image you’ve ever seen!
Unlike the first card, the floating bridge on this card stems across the top, leaving the bottom visible for larger images. Experiment by using just the top or the bottom bridge for variations of this fun fold!
The Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper includes traditional Christmas colors and cozy patterns. You’ll find this designer paper on page 9 of the Mini Catalog.
Floating Bridge Card – Idea #3
If you love to color (like me!) then you’ll love the “From All of Us” stamp set on page 93 of the annual catalog. Aren’t those faces adorable?!
My favorite coloring medium are the Stampin’ Blends Markers. And while this card took a bit more time than my traditional coloring projects, I absolutely love the way it turned out!
And don’t forget the backside! The branch images in this stamp set provide the perfect accessory to these images. Mix and match the greetings from the stamp set to create a custom phrase, too!
