Layering Circles Birthday Card Details

This rainbow of color is created easily using the Layering Circles Dies. Die cut graduated sizes, layer them together and cut them in half. Splitting up the focal point is key to this unique and impressive layout!

This Birthday card with layering circles features fun glitter paper in bright colors

The Rainbow Glimmer Paper is one of those products that doesn’t get enough ‘air time’ in my opinion. The gorgeous ombre colors and glitter-free mess make die cutting a breeze.

Cutting Dimensions

  • Whisper White (base): 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White (layer): 2″ x 5″
  • Whisper White (greeting): 1/2″ x 2″
  • Basic Black (layer): 2 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Basic Black (greeting): 5/8″ x 2″
  • Basic Black: scrap for die-cut greeting
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper: to create circles

Layering circles like this for a birthday card is not only a quick card to make but also gender neutral.

Layering Circles – Idea #2

Layering circles birthday cards aren’t the only type of cards you can create with this unique layout. This card uses the beautiful Poinsettia Place Designer Paper layered with Red Velvet Paper.

Take those layering circles and turn it into a fun Christmas card.

Cutting Dimensions

  • Real Red (base layer): 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White (base): 4 1/8″ x 10 3/4″, fold in half
  • Whisper White (greeting): 1″ x 6″, trim to fit once adhered for perfect alignment
  • Poinsettia Place Designer Paper: scraps for circles
  • Red Velvet Paper: scraps for circles

You can help those layering circles 'pop' by adding some glitter dots

Layering Circles – Idea #3

Layer the circles for vertical, horizontal or angled placement. Use a strip of cardstock, designer paper or die-cut greetings to create a definitive division between the layers for this eye-catching design.

Go with a monochromatic look with layering circles that are in the same family color.

Cutting Dimensions

  • Basic Black (base): 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black: scrap for die-cut greeting
  • Whisper White (layer): 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Scraps for circles using: Bumblee, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron

I love using die cut words on top of my layering circles
