The Snowman Season stamp set is perfect for both holiday cards, scrapbook pages and winter birthdays. The adorable images are easy to color and this stamp set even has as coordinating Snowman Builder Punch!
The Plaid Tidings Designer Paper has been one of my favorites this holiday season! The timeless plaid prints come in an array of colors suitable for cards all year long. This black and white pattern reminds me of a warm winter blanket!
Separate panels allow space for scraps of designer paper at the top and bottom as well as the overlapping panels on the front of this card. While this is a great way to use up those paper scraps don’t overlook stamping the panels or using your embossing folder.
Overlapping Fun Fold Card – Idea #2
I’m going to ask for your forgiveness on the photos of this gorgeous ornament card. Foils are near impossible to photograph without glare. The copper accents on the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Papers and Brushed Metallic Cardstock provide the right amount of sparkle for this holiday card.
The coordinating Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack will have you creating multiples in a flash! Purchase the designer paper, punch pack and the stamp set as a Variety Bundle and save 10%.
Having trouble stamping your greetings straight? I’ve got two tips for you.
- Stamp them on a scrap piece of cardstock and either trim around them or use a punch as I’ve done here.
- The Stamparatus stamp positioning tool is a fantastic product for precise stamping. When making repeated cards for any occasion, position your stamps on the plates, ink and press and you’ll have perfect placement every single time. See the Stamparatus in action in my video HERE.
Overlapping Fun Fold Card – Idea #3
Brighten their day with the cheerful Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. This entire suite of products consists of striking colors, dies and coordinated stamps. If you love sunflowers don’t miss my PDF tutorial featuring this stamp set with six (6) additional ideas. CLICK HERE to check them out.
Did you notice that I positioned the right panel on this card a bit higher than the other two cards? This slight adjustment allowed an area for my greeting. Experiment with the positioning for your own unique layouts.
The best part of Stampin’ Up!’s designer papers are the double-sided options. Choose patterns reminiscent of the theme or flip them over for a more generic patterns that can be used all year long.

Lisa, I discovered your videos about a year ago, I believe. I have always loved Jennifer McGuire, because her videos are always excellent, she speaks so clearly, gets right to the point, explains things so well…but she doesn’t use Stampin Up things, and that’s the majority of my stash. So when I found you…I have to say, YOU are my most favorite of all the SU demos out there doing videos. To me, you are the “Jennifer McGuire” of the SU world. You always speak so clearly, explain things so well, and always have the neatest card ideas. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching you make things!
Melissa so happy to have you watch and to follow my video’s!! Thank you so much for your kind thoughts!! I hope to continue to inspire you!!
It is very pretty but useless if it does not stand up . Have I missed some part which shows the card upright.
Gail happy to have you watch today!! I have small clear plate holder that I use for this type of card!
Hi Lisa, Ive been using your card ideas and just love them. Thank you for sharing videos with Closed Caption (CC) and measurements too. Hugs. Diane
Diane so happy to have you follow my video’s and also make the cards!! Thank you so much for your kind thoughts!!
Hi Lisa, love all three of the cards, but the snowman is my favourite. Just love your blog and video’s, thank you for sharing them.
Annette thanks so much for stopping by to watch today!! Snowmen just melt our hearts!! Thanks so much for your kindness!!
Love the fold and especially the snowman card. Thanks for the tutorial!
Connie you are most welcome!! Glad to have you stop by today!! Thank you!! That little snowman is just so cute!!
Love the snowman card, but some of the dimensions seem off on the template. The scoring for the right template should be on the “3 1/2” side-right? And also aren’t there a layer plus a card plus another card base to cover all the stuff in the back? What size is it and then won’t it be bigger than a standard envelope? I seem to be confused.
Deborah glad to have you stop by to watch today!! Here is the link for the cutting dimensions that I think will help. Scroll down through the pictures to see them:

Dear Lisa. I wanted to challenge my creativity & do someting special for my patents & relatives back in the USA.
I watched your videos & made some terrible cards but with lots of love and good crisps paper folds. The cards got better so i sent a second round of cards. Then i saw another video ftom you and I sent another round. I ended up sending my parents & 2 aunts 12 cards each.
It was fun and my skills improved.
Biggest challenge was a W fold but once I finally made it using a sqaure 5 x5 inch card, the German post office charged me around 4 dollars postage. Lesson no sqare cards.
Great fun and enjoyed your very professional videos. You even motivated me to buy a silicon matt.
All the best to you & your family in 2021.
Sincerely
Jonathan
Jonathan I so enjoyed reading your story!! I am thrilled I could inspire you!! Thank you for watching and for your kind words!
Hi Lisa,
First, I love your videos. You make tricky cards easy to assemble. I watched your video for the “Overlapping Fun Fold” card and found a short cut. If you adhere the two panels that fold over each other onto the white card stock, then adhere the white card stock to another piece, you hide those tabs and eliminate the need for another piece to cover them.
Thank you for sharing your ideas. Gail Kelleher, Demonstrator, Monroe, WA
Gail thank you so much for stopping by to watch and for the great tip!! Many thanks for your kind words as well!!
I really liked this card. However some measurements were missing like- the white that you adhered the card to also the white measurement for the inside of the card. But I figured it out and really enjoyed the card. It was different.
Pam thank you for visiting this video!! I think you are referring to the cardstock layer that is 4x 5 1/4 on the measurement list. Sorry for the confusion!
