Fun Fold Cards | Squash Card – Celebrate Sunflowers
My first squash card uses three (3) 6″ x 6″ pieces of cardstock. Three panels allows the card to explode with character leaving ample space for designer paper, additional sentiments and handwritten messages. This is also a great card to create when you need lots of space for a group of people to sign – perfect for coworker birthday cards, retirements, graduations and bridal or baby showers. I do want to add that all these cards are best mailed in a bubble mailer.
Celebrate Sunflowers has been a favorite stamp set of mine simply because of these timeless blooms. I’ve paired this card with the amazing host exclusive designer paper “Pattern Party” which is a free selection when you place a $150+ product order. When opened, the expanding panels allow you to get creative. There are several “flat” panels and many with diagonal folds. Don’t let those angles fool you. They’re easy to fill. I teach you how in the video.
The three panels provides generous space – so much that I had to photograph it in sections. You can see the full length in the video. Use up those designer paper scraps for any of the angles in coordinating colors or patterns for lots of visual interest.
Fun Fold Cards | Squash Card – Nothing’s Better Than
It’s no secret. I love chocolate! The Nothing’s Better Than stamp set provides fun, whimsical images and greetings for all kinds of “loves” whether it’s chocolate, coffee, cookies or cocktails this stamp set and their coordinating dies will create fun cards all year long.
Unlike the Celebrate Sunflowers squash card, this one uses two (2) 7″ x 7″ pieces of cardstock. It’s not as long as the first card but still ample room to decorate. Because of the two panels this card’s birthday sentiment is on the backside when closed.
Whether you like to color in images or not this stamp set has you covered. Stamp the outline and use your Stampin’ Blends or markers to color them in or select the coordinating solid image in this stamp set to the do the ‘work’ for you.
You might wondering how I created the two-tones on the cocktail glass. Since this stamp set is photopolymer (clear) I inked the lightest color first then added the other. It’s an easy technique!
Fun Fold Cards | Squash Card – Garden Birdhouses
This squash card is the mac-daddy and uses three (3) pieces of 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock. This card is large enough to adhere a gift card to one of the solid panels, photos, recipes (great for shower gifts!) or added space for multiple signatures.
The Garden Birdhouses stamp set can be found in the annual catalog on page 18. These sketched image stamps are easy to color which I did using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.
The new Harvest Meadow designer paper shown here pairs perfectly with so many projects. It debuts on August 3 in the new Mini Catalog.
