DIY Christmas Card Video | Whimsical Trees Tower Card
Check out the Whimsy & Wonder Suite on pages 24-25 of the Mini Catalog and the first thing you’ll notice is the non-traditional color scheme. Pastels of Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron are enhanced by the rich tones of Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow.
Don’t miss the new iridescent, laser cut, foil Wonderful Snowflakes. (Whew! That a mouthful!) This accessory provides the perfect shimmer and wintery feel to your holiday cards. Their size is perfect for cards and scrapbooking alike.
The Whimsical Tree Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) provide a large selection of tree images. The dies include accessories like ornaments, stars and tinsel.
Each panel on this card provides the perfect place to showcase the stunning Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Paper. One side of this designer paper features foil accents while the other side has simpler imagery – some of which can be used all year round.
With a slight shift to the right or left, this entire tower folds flat and fits into a medium size (A2) envelope. To reduce bulk when mailing, keep the panel layers to a minimum and use a limited number of raised images. You can also create the center tower panel with designer paper vs. cardstock.
DIY Christmas Card Video | Delivering Cheer
I love gathering with family and friends around the holidays. There’s always good food, holiday music and lots of laughs. Among one of my favorite traditions is gift giving. The Delivering Cheer stamp set immediately caught my eye because each image is reminiscent of what my Christmas season includes.
Paper piecing is a simple technique where an image is stamped twice. Once on white cardstock and again on a piece of designer paper. Use your scissors to cut out the area you want to ‘piece’ and adhere it over the top of the stamped image. I used the Peaceful Place Designer Papers for this card and loved the Buffalo Check pattern for her skirt.
My favorite way to add color to any image is the Stampin’ Blends Markers. They are easy to use and provide professional shading results. The shadow under the feet is created using the Light Smoky Slate Blends Marker then lightened with the Color Lifter.
DIY Christmas Card Video | Pretty Pumpkins
The Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) are found on page 48 of the Mini Catalog. The coordinating dies include images not represented in the stamp set which expounds on the purchase of this product.
With gorgeous designer paper from the Harvest Meadow collection each panel is easily embellished. I didn’t have the heart to cover up the fall colors and patterns so allowed them to be the focus on several panels. The smaller side panels are a great way to use designer paper scraps, too!
Are you hosting a holiday this year? Consider this tower fun fold card as place card at your table setting. Write the guest’s name on one panel and use designer paper around the others. Quick and easy and these will make a wonderful keepsake for your guests.
