Included in the mix of interactive cards I’m teaching you today is an elegant homemade Christmas card. With only 12 weeks until Christmas it’s not too early to begin your holiday cards. Let me teach you how to make this homemade slider card with today’s video tutorial.

DIY Slider Cards | Details
My first card is one you can use for any occasion when you use the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. I opted for the Daisy Garden background stamp and chose not to color it so the card was quick and easy to create.
It’s no secret that Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers are my favorite coloring medium. In fact, you can find an entire playlist on how to use these fabulous markers on my YouTube channel HERE.
The slit on the front of this card allows your image to travel with a simple pull of the ribbon which also reveals the insert. Best of all, this card can be created in either a landscape or portrait format.
DIY Slider Cards | Peaceful Deer
Did I mention that Christmas is just 12 weeks away? It’s time to choose a card design – or two – and begin creating your holiday cards. The Peaceful Deer Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punch) create beautiful nostalgic cards like this one. Best of all, this stamp set is timeless and will be a great addition to your stamping supplies.
This card also includes a fun technique. I heat embossed gold on gold foil paper. The texture and color are magnificent and certainly not captured in a photograph. If you haven’t tried this tone on tone heat emboss technique, get your embossing powders out and give it a try. It’s so elegant!
Slider Card | Turtle Friends
The Turtle Friends Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punch) have been wildly popular this year because these adorable reptile images have the cutest expressions! This stamp set includes greetings for various occasions to suit both the young and young-at-heart.
The background to this card front was created using the Adorning Designer Decorative Masks, better known as ‘stencils’. Subtle color was added using a Blending Brush – my favorite way to use a stencil.
Slider Card | Joy of Life
I’ve said it before, but the Joy of Life stamp set is a “sleeper” in the Mini Catalog. This adorable set includes images that are both whimsical and fun.
The slit on this card was cut through two layers, the card base and the grassy area. When using the paper trimmer, be sure to cut through the layers several times.
Forwards and backwards, this cheerful greeting will have the receiver pushing and pulling this image in delight. What stamp set are you considering for your interactive slider card? Leave me a comment below.
