Accordion Card | Whimsical Trees
If you’re looking for a unique Christmas card for a few special people, look no further! This card is easily created using strips of cardstock which are accordion folded and attached to a layered card base. When pulled, the card expands to showcase the greetings and designer papers.
The Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Paper is my favorite Christmas paper this year. The non-traditional colors are both soft and attractive but incorporate timeless holiday imagery. Incorporated on one side of each of the designer papers is a classy silver foil accent. *squeal*
Whether you choose to stamp greetings, images or use designer paper on the panels, your card will expand to showcase them all! This would be a great card to celebrate a milestone birthday. Allow guests to sign white cardstock layers for each of the folded sections or you can adhere photos to make this a one-of-a-kind special greeting they’ll keep forever.
The finished card base is 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ which means it will require a padded envelope for mailing.

Perhaps, like me, you have a friend that needed a bit of cheering up. I created this one with her in mind. The black and white gingham designer paper (Pattern Party) provided the perfect ‘picnic’ feel to her favorite fruit.
The Sweet Strawberry Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punch) create quick and easy images. This two-step stamp set provides both an outline and ‘fill’ image for the strawberry.
