This fan fold card is sure to amaze! While I’ve seen this same fold also called an infinity card, they are quite different.
Today’s fun fold card was inspired by my customer, Pamela, who shared the fun fold card she made. I’d never seen this handmade card before and begged for instructions so I could teach you! I’ll be sharing Pamela’s cards in today’s video as well as several of my own. This spiral opening will be among the best handmade cards you’ll create!

Fan Fold Card Video
Whether you call it a fan fold card or an infinity card, the panels spread out to display numerous inside panels. Let me teach you how to make this fun fold card design!

Fan Fold Card – Poinsettia Place
It’s a shame you can’t feel this card! The front layer is covered in red velvet paper! Not only does this specialty paper provide texture it allows the white poinsettia to stand out beautifully!
Sadly photos don’t do this card justice! This striking red and white combination includes detailed poinsettia leaves that are both embossed and die cut.
The four panels of this card provide areas to stamp images or greetings. Better yet, got a piece of designer paper that you love? Cover an entire section with just that!
I used the Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers to color in my poinsettias. I also used the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends marker along the outside edges of the petals for depth. Once the alcohol-base is allowed to dry, use the Color Lifter to lighten the shade for a beautiful and realistic look to the petals.

Fan Fold Card – Christmas Season
What’s the first thing you notice on this card front? Is it the pinecones or die cut sprigs? Perhaps it’s the In Color Shimmer Vellum that stands out with the rich colors of the berries and greeting.
Unlike my first card, the panels on this one have a direction. If you’re like me and obsessive about ‘direction’ use images that can be viewed upside down like flowers and leaves. Symmetrical images work best. Regardless, I loved this card for it’s woodsy feel and decided that the spiral opening could easily allow the card to be rotated and enjoyed.
The Christmas Season Bundle and Christmas to Remember Bundles work perfectly together. Both include dies that you can mix and match to create traditional holiday cards. Couple it with its coordinating Painted Christmas Designer Paper and you’ll have gorgeous cards in minutes!

Fan Fold Card – Pansy Patch
Pansies anyone? This Bundle has been incredibly popular since the annual catalog inception last May. Some of the images on the coordinating Pansy Petals Designer Paper can be die cut using the dies which makes for every faster creations. Believe it or not, these aren’t stamped pansies – these were die cut from the designer paper! They look realistic, don’t they?
This sample is the perfect example of how gorgeous designer paper can consume a layer. Wait until you see the inside!
Although this package of designer paper includes – count them – 9 different colors – they work famously together!
