Handmade Holiday Cards | Classic Cloche
There’s nothing quite like a wintry scene on a Christmas card. Images of a small village nestled in mounds of white snow definitely hold all the holiday ‘feels’. The Classic Cloche Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) are fantastic products to use separately or as a Bundle.
Use up strips of designer paper or cardstock to create panels behind your focal image. It’s quick and easy and a great way to get rid of those scraps. Watch my video tip for alignment!
Handmade Holiday Cards | Time of Giving
Gorgeous embossing folders can take a simple card to a WOW card in seconds. The Wintry 3D Embossing Folders are a 2-pack. Whether you choose the pine bough or the snowflakes, these deep impressions provide enough texture that can easily be finished by adding a greeting.
The Wonderful Snowflakes have an iridescent finish on one side and white on the other side. They’re perfect for a quick card accent or turn them over and use the white side. The white side allows you to add color using Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based Markers, Blending Brushes and so much more. Color coordinate these amazing embellishments in minutes!
Handmade Holiday Cards | Christmas Season
Two-step stamping provides means there are two images meant to be stamped one on top of the other for a 3D look. The pinecones in the Christmas Season stamp set represent this technique so well! Don’t those pinecones look like you could touch them and feel their texture?
Use the images in the stamp set to create subtle backgrounds by stamping off one-two layers of ink on scratch paper to reduce the shade. Then stamp the image on the same colored cardstock for striking tone-on-tone backgrounds. It’s a great way to create the look of your own designer paper!
Handmade Holiday Cards | Angels of Peace
Angels are a staple on holiday cards but the Angels of Peace stamp set can be used all year long. This image is perfect for get well, sympathy – or just about any occasion card. This paper-piecing technique allows you to skip the coloring while providing gorgeous patterns. Don’t miss the tips in today’s video!
The double-sided Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Paper includes accents of gold foil on one side and patterns on the reverse side. Emphasize those accents with a strip of gold foil. Consider adhering the strips on an angle for added interest. This is another great card idea to use up scraps of cardstock and designer paper.
