This gate fold accordion Christmas card is, no doubt, the best gate fold card I’ve ever created! The layers pop up and create the most interesting floating panel card when displayed.
Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination is second to none and that’s evident in the three card making ideas I’m sharing today. I’m featuring the Christmas card but don’t miss my fun fold Halloween card and birthday card alternate ideas. This floating panel card is perfect for any occasion!

Gate Fold Accordion Christmas Card | Joyful Flurry
When you think of snowflakes tones of blues, white and silver come to mind. But I love creating cards outside the ‘norm’. The gold accents with Cherry Cobbler are both rich and intriguing. Definitely not the norm for a snowflake card but it’s definitely impactful!
The Lights Aglow Designer Papers worked perfectly for these panels since the package contains 6″ x 6″ sheets. Varied tones for the holidays allows you to work with both elegant reds and greens. There’s even some sheets in muted black with a bokeh finish that are striking!
Adding layers of Gold Foil emphasize the heat embossed snowflake and designer paper. But I didn’t stop there! I stamped and heat embossed small gold snowflakes along the belly band as well.
The gold embossing and foil were sparkly enough but this stunning gold snowflake called for a simple brushed gold metallic dot in the center to finish it off.
When opened, the card expands revealing the panels and the inside of the card. Be certain to position the inside greeting or images so they aren’t visible from the outside.
Your recipient will love displaying this card since the panels float to the sides.
The Joyful Flurry stamp set is offered as a Bundle to include a 12-piece set of dies for both negative and outline images. You’ll find this Bundle on page 19 of the Mini Catalog.
Gate Fold Accordion Halloween Card | Bewitching
Nothing screams Halloween more than a vibrant color and black! I used the Celebrate Everything designer paper for the panels and chose the Bewitching stamp Bundle (page 57 of the Mini Catalog).
The Betwiching Bundle includes a 6-piece stamp set and the coordinating Witch Hat Builder Punch. This builder punch includes three pieces; the hat, hat band and stars. It’s like getting three punches in one!
Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers were used to add some color to the hat and feet, allowing me to coordinate the Mango Melody cardstock layers. If you’re new to alcohol-based Stampin’ Blends Markers I have an entire playlist on YouTube HERE to teach you how to use them in various ways.
Love the sparkle border on the inside of the card? Add a strip of Glitter Washi Tape! Four colors provides lots of options!
Wonderful World
Sale-A-Bration is nearing an end and the exclusive FREE products offered during this sale will be retired. Among them is the Wonderful World Bundle (stamp set + designer paper). While I’ve enjoyed using all the Sale-A-Bration products, this Bundle is among my favorites.
Floral stamps with a realistic look are amazingly easy to work with. You can achieve two colors (or more) by using Sponge Daubers to add individual colors to various areas. I recommend starting with the lightest color first and use a separate Sponge Dauber for each color.
I fussy cut these images and layered them on the front panels for a soft and inviting entry to this floating panel card.
Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination makes creating cards like this super easy. Mix and match the designer paper in the package for the various panels and your card is perfectly coordinated!

What is the best way to fill the tiny glue bottles that you show the link on your website
Sandy thank you so much for watching!! Just unscrew the lid off the precision tip glue bottle and fill with liquid glue. It is a slow process so be patient. Hit the bottle on the countertop to keep the glue to the bottom.
That Christmas gate fold is just stunning! Is there a PDF available for it yet?
Debbi many thanks for watching!! Here is the link from my blog: https://lisasstampstudio.com/2022/08/dazzle-them-with-this-exquisite-gate-fold-accordion-christmas-card.html

Thanks so much, you are so Talented. I love watching you ‘create”. Thanks for being such a wonderful Demonstrator. I’m gonna try to get myself together so hopefully someday I can be a “good” one. Thanks for all your Inspiration. Yes I’ve been a Dem. for a little over a year. I love it, but my apt. is so small I can’t do classes here. I need to get everything organized 1st. Then I’ll try to have classes/workshop maybe at my Church. Thanks again. I’ve cased some of your cards, everyone I sent them to liked them.

Love the Halloween Card you made. I know in other videos you mention you can’t line things up straight. I have a lazy eye kind of issue and can’t either. So what is your trick for lining up mats and layers?
Gigi happy you could watch!! thank you so much!! My grid paper is my best friend! I use the grid paper to make sure both sides are on the same line and straight! Hope that helps!!
Beautiful folding layout! Perhaps I should make one of these cards before I ask, the question… If mailing, what size envelope is needed?
