I’ll admit, creating cards for men is my most challenging card making task. I love flowers, butterflies and bling so masculine cards take me outside my comfort zone. But great card techniques give me a place to start and the rest is easy!
The handmade cards for men that I’ve created today are quick and easy but don’t lack impact. I’m using a technique called scene masking and I’ve got lots of tips to help you achieve great results when using the new Stampin’ Up! masking paper.

Cards for Men | Let’s Set Sail
I love creating nautical cards because they aren’t just for men. The calming and cool blue tones are great for any outdoor or beach lover. The Let’s Set Sail stamp set is also offered as a Bundle to include a coordinating Sailboat Builder Punch.
Stampin’ Up! introduces masking paper in May of 2022 and it’s a fun product but it is a bit stickier than competing products. Today’s video will teach you how to use it for perfect masking results.
Cards for Men | Paradise Palms
Sitting on the gorgeous white beaches here in Florida has always been a peaceful spot for me. The salt air, seagulls and the smells seem to melt any cares away. Naturally the Paradise Palms and its coordinating Palms Dies caught my eye.
Create partial scene masking using any shape die to create a negative space. The masking paper does all the work. Today’s video provides tips on sizing this paper as well as blending for effortless results.
Bottled Happiness
I love this technique with dark, solid images which allows the masked partial blending to be the star of the card. Experiment with die cut shapes and color combinations for striking results.
My final tip involves accessories. Keep them to a minimum so as not to take away from the blending and stamped image. A little goes a long way with this technique. Which stamp set will you be trying? Leave me a comment. Your ideas inspire me!
