Slimline Card | Scary Cute
I have three great nephews that look forward to their neighborhood’s annual trick or treat party. Each year I make them a card so I love finding new ways to “up my game” from the previous year. This slimline card will provide me more room to write them a note and I love that it’s free standing for their mantel.
The Scary Cute Bundle (Mini Catalog, page 56) includes silhouette images and coordinating dies. I’ve fallen in love with the dies! There’s a frame, a haunted house, a cat on a fence, a banner and numerous bats. I’ve mixed and matched these dies with lots of Halloween cards already this year thanks to these versatile dies.
Since the images are silhouettes (solid), it makes creating quick and easy! I chose traditional purple (Highland Heather) and black for this card which allows the amazing Black & White Designs Designer Paper stand out.
Multipurpose Liquid Glue is perfect for the frame assembly but even easier if you use the Precision Needle Tip Glue Applicator linked HERE in my Craft Room Favorites. I’ve never loved liquid glue because I tend to use too much and it becomes messy, but this Precision Needle Tip Applicator has been a game changer for me.
The twisted feature of this card provides the perfect place to use designer paper packages with coordinating patterns. Whether you choose orange, green or purple accents for your Halloween cards, I’d highly recommend this Black & White Designs Designer Paper. The white areas can be sponged or blended with any color of your choice. It’s a great way to customize your project in minutes!
Slimline Card | Caroling Mice
The Caroling Mice stamp set is a host exclusive set offered to customers who spend $150+. You’ll find it in the Mini Catalog on page 86. When an order reaches $150+ in product (before shipping and tax) Stampin’ Up! offers additional rewards called Stampin’ Rewards. Use those free shopping dollars towards exclusive host products or anything else in the catalogs of your choice.
Whimsical stamps are among my favorite genre and this one doesn’t disappoint! The bold outline images are fun and easy to color and perfect for any coloring medium. I used the Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers.
The Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper is traditional and coordinates with everything! I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create the image layers and nestled the double strands of ribbon behind it for the closure.
The inside sentiment is from the Santa’s Delivery stamp set, another great whimsical set also available as a Bundle with coordinating dies. You’ll find Santa’s Delivery on page 18 of the Mini Catalog.
Slimline Card | Season of Chic
Looking for a great Bundle that includes both seasonal and non-seasonal images and dies? The Season of Chic is quickly becoming another favorite of mine. Found on page 99 of the annual catalog, this 17-piece photopolymer stamp set includes images with leaves, flowers, snowflakes and seashells. It’s the perfect year-round set!
Even better are the coordinating Chic Dies which includes 19 pieces for all the images plus detailed layers and images. Purchase Season of Chic as a Bundle and save 10%. I promise, you won’t want the stamps without the dies and visa versa.
The beautiful two-toned image for the shell is easily created by using Sponge Daubers. Add several colors in various areas for an inconsistent and grunge look then stamp.

Ruth Mowry
Ruth thank you so much for watching!! Thrilled you like this Twisted Fun Fold!! Sorry I do not do any in person classes. I did just have an in person event, Party with Lisa’s Stamp Studio, so we could meet some of our customers and team members!! It was an awesome event!!
I love all your projects and try all of them. I would love to see you make boxes for cards. Especially one that would fit 3×4 cards.
Joan thanks so much for stopping by!! Thank you so much, and happy you make my card designs!! I did do this card gift box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koA5mw0heEI&t=1825s
I love this, but I think the template has the sides wrong, I think the 10 1/2″ side should be at the top and the 8 1/2″ should be down the side. Otherwise it will not fit into a slimline envelope as those are usually 9 1/2″ long.
Thank you Janice….the instructions need to be edited.
DiEtta thank you for watching! I have corrected my mistake. I am truly sorry!
Janice thank you so much for visiting!! I am so sorry, I have uploaded a new project sheet and template. My mistake.
@Janice George……You are correct. In the video there is no mention of the starting measurements of the base card either. No measurements for the mat starting piece either. Please give the starting measurements. Please fix the measurements on the instruction sheet.
DiEtta thank you for watching and catching my mistake! I am so sorry, and have uploaded a corrected project sheet and template! Again, I am sorry for my error.
Hi 👋 I just got on I hope I make it to the tropical party tonight. 😅 🙃 see you soon 🙏
Tracy thanks so much for stopping by to watch!! Hope you enjoyed Coctails and Coconuts!!!
Hi Lisa, I did enjoy the time with all of you. So today I did my first card class. Well it was only 1 🧟♀️ friend. 🤷🏼♀️but she’s helping me to get my nerve up so I can do more friends at a time. We made only one card. I gave her one of the catalog to look at. She bought a card kit that I had bought last week she had liked it. I hope I did it all good so I made you proud. 🙏🤏
Theresa thank you for watching!! My heart is happy for you!! One person is fantastic! Please remember one person will lead to more!! A kit order is perfect!! Hooray for you!!
