Birthday Pocket Cards | Darling Details
There’s nothing like black paired with a bold color to create a striking presentation! The Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper is packed full of varied colors and patterns.
The Darling Details Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) provide simple and whimsical images. Best of all, this stamp set includes two-step images to fill the flowers and leave should you not want to color them. I used Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers for these cards but you can certainly ‘speed things up’ with the two-step options that are included in this set.
A simple folds and a snip provide two pockets to this card which is comprised of your favorite patterned papers!
Stagger the sizes of the inserts to enjoy the array of colors and create an amazing presentation to your card.
Birthday Pocket Cards | Sending Smiles
There’s nothing to be blue about this card! The Countryside Inn designer paper provides an array of blues on this double-sided paper.
Keep in mind patterned paper direction. As you can see on this card, once the folds are completed. some of the pattern will be upside down. With small patterns, it works just fine but keep that in mind when using bold prints.
Instead of a card insert, consider tags and a gift card. I created the tag using the Tailor Made Tag Dies. This set includes 4 staggering sizes in 2 shapes plus dies to make grommets.
Instead of sealing up the backside of the designer paper, as I did on the first card, this card leaves the panel open to attach another layer to make this a complete card.
Zany Zoo Gift Card Holder
Who wouldn’t love to celebrate their day with this fun card? The whimsical images of the Zany Zoo stamp set coordinate with the Zoo Crew designer paper.
If you don’t feel like coloring the images, you’re in luck! The coordinating designer paper includes animal images, colored and ready to go. Some even fit the coordinating dies!
Spruce up the edges using scrap strips of cardstock. Add the color edge before adhering the pocket to compliment your favorite colors.
I’m a huge fan of black and white designer papers since they can be used for anything! Use a Blending Brush to add color, add polka dots with daubers over the patterns or leave them white to coordinate with any palette.
The best part of the Zany Zoo Dies is the addition of accessories to compliment the stamp set. Stools, curtains, trees and more allow you to use these whimsical images for a variety of occasions.

Thank You for the video tutorial on the 3 Birthday pocket cards and the tutorial download pdf. I really appreciate those. Love them. I had lost my mojo for a while and I credit your video for getting some of it back. I was reading ritamontgomery6008 question and I have the same one. It’s about the strip of solid cardstock on your 2 other cards (sending smiles and zany zoo) that measures 1/2 inch x 7 inches. I was also wondering how to best attach it. It is not mentioned in your instructions. I reread all your steps you sent in your reply to rita but couldn’t find any mention of how to best attach the solid strips on the pocket itself. It is a very nice look and would like to try it.
Gitto thank you so much for watching and for your kind comments!! This is such a fun card!! I just used a small amount of glue to attach the strip to the back of the pocket. Hope this helps!
Beautiful cards! Thank you for sharing your talent and time.
Lynna you are most welcome!! Many thanks for stopping by to visit this video!!
