One piece of cardstock perfectly explains the base to this fun fold birthday card! Let me teach you how to make greeting cards that will get at “WOW” every time!
Whether using designer papers or creating your own background, you can’t go wrong with this top lift card idea. The cherry card provides an easy way to substitute designer paper with stamps and I’ve included two additional samples, a masculine fishing card and an additional birthday card. Fun Fold Birthday Card | Sweet Cherries
Stumped on a background for your card? Create it using an image from the stamp set. I used the crosshatch image to stamp the cardstock using the coordinating ink and cardstock. Stampin’ Up! color coordination is second to none!
The Cherry Builder Punch provides three punches in one. This punch includes the cherry, stem and leaves allowing you to provide precise borders quickly and easily.
The beauty of this card is that it’s one piece of cardstock. Follow along with today’s video and the template in the project sheet below.
This landscape layout allows the top flap to open to the side which reveals the front of the card base.
Spruce up the inside with additional images from the stamp set and your favorite greeting.
Fun Fold Birthday Card | Textured Floral
Turn it around for a portrait layout! Pair this delightful stamp set with the Inked Botanicals Designer Papers for elegant easy cards.
The texture represented in the image is part of the stamp and not faulty inking which provides the perfect realism to these images.
Allow the designer paper to dictate the color of your images. Here I’ve used Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry for the flowers.
When fully opened, this portrait layout reveals the inside. Carry over the small, leftover pieces of designer paper to the inside of your card. It’s a great way to use up those scraps!
Gone Fishing
Masculine cards are among the toughest for me to create since I love feminine things. The Gone Fishing Bundle has eliminate the “what to use” since this suite of products includes stamps, dies and coordinating designer papers.
The portrait layout of this card allows for extra width. I mounted the greeting slightly offset to leave room for the images.
The bonus features of this stamp set are the ability to either color the outline images or use the coordinating two-step solid image to fill them like I’ve done here.
Perfect for Father’s Day, graduations, birthdays and retirements, the Gone Fishing Bundle is one you’ll want to add to your Wish List!
