Pop Up Christmas Card | Merry & Bright
Double sided designer papers with Stampin’ Up! give you so many options. Once side is themed and the other side includes a variety of non-theme images you can use all year long. And you’re going to want to show these amazing papers off with this fun fold layout.
The new Merry & Bright Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) let’s your imagination go wild. With two styles of light bulbs and fun accessory dies you’ll be creating cards that light up every holiday mantel this year!
Expanded View
The secret to this fun fold lies in the fan fold mechanism, known as a “wave”. Be sure to watch the video for detailed instructions on fitting the accordion pieces and decorarting the pleats.
The Nested Essentials Dies provide trendy stitched borders in a cascade of sizes, perfect for greetings and images.
Pop Up Autumn Card | Pick of the Patch
If you’re looking for a stamp set that can create both Halloween and fall cards, the Pick of the Patch Bundle (stamp set + coordinating punch) are perfect! With separate stamps with jack o’lantern faces, you can use these pumpkins for fall or decorate them for trick or treat greetings.
These simple, bold images are easy to use and perfect for beginner stampers or those looking to make quick impressionable cards. Here I’ve used the leaves for the pumpkins as well as creating a simple fall tree.
Looking to spruce things up? Add designer paper to the front of each pleat using the leftovers that are typically discarded. It’s a great way to use use up those scraps!
Accordion View
Each pleat can be used independently to tell a ‘story’ on your card. Experiment with images size and greetings, as I’ve done on the last pleat of this card. The possibilities are endless.
If you don’t have the perfect designer paper for the background, break out a stencil! I used the Foursquare Decorative Masks for this card to create subtle background using Blending Brushes. Best of all, this stencil (and those included in this multi-pack) provide lots of texture.
Pop Up Christmas Card | Autumn Leaves
Leaves are great for not only fall cards, but for masculine, get well and sympathy cards as well. The Autumn Leaves Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) are both versatile and sophisticated.
There are various die options to include outline dies to cut out the stamped images, as I’ve done here. Plus there are dies that cut detailed leaves. Regardless of how you use them, you’ll have impressive cards in minutes.
Don’t miss the coordinating All About Autumn Designer Paper. This 6″ x 6″ package is abundant with printed autumn imagery on one side and elegant foil accents on the other.
Angled View
During today’s video I share tips on using a tab to elevate some images. That’s especially important with larger images that need to ‘float’ into position and for smaller images that may be lost on the accordion pleat. Don’t miss all the abundant tips in this video.
Whether your images will include fall or Christmas themes, or something entirely different, I think you’ll agree that these holiday card samples are a real wow!
