Window Card | Beautiful Butterflies

If you’ve watched my videos for any length of time you may recall me mentioning that many of us have at least one butterfly bundle (stamps + coordinating dies). While you might think that the one you have is sufficient, let me introduce you to the new Beautiful Butterflies Bundle!

I’ve come back to this Bundle time and time again for many reasons. Not only are the images perfect for stamping on designer paper, die cutting and/or embossing with the hybrid embossing folder, they are easy to color.

With options for both solid and detailed dies, you can pick and choose what fits best on the card you’re creating. Because of the layered butterfly dies, I was able to use the larger for the window and the detailed die for the opening.

A Look Inside

Once the top flap is opened, the card opens left to right revealing two additional panels. This is also a great layout for cards that require lots of signatures (think office retirement or congratulations cards) or to show off pretty designer papers.

Save the die cut image from creating the window and use it on the inside right panel of the card. The best part of this fun fold design is that there’s no waste when you die cut!

Window Card | Adventurous Sky

While the Adventurous Sky Bundle has been around for a while, I couldn’t resist pairing it with the new Everyday Arches Bundle.

The Everyday Arches Bundle is a unique combination of text and layering dies to house a variety of greetings.

masculine card

Most of us agree that creating handmade masculine cards are the most challenging, this duo of products not only makes a striking, but simple card!

Be sure to add your designer paper before die cutting. Unlike the first card this one uses the negative die cut to add a simple greeting and show off the pretty patterns.

Storybook Garden Patch

The entire Storybook Moments Suite is comprised of two sets of stamps and dies, coordinating designer papers and ribbon that all boast a vintage Peter Rabbit feel. If you love vintage designs you’re going to love these products!

The Countryside Corners Dies were used for the window opening on this card. Since the pattern paper is pretty busy, I opted to see my images simple. The rake and watering can were colored using the Stampin’ Blends alcohol based markers.

The greeting comes from another new stamp set titled “Linked Together”. While this stamp set, and coordinating dies, were not on my original wish list of products, I have to admit, I’ve used them an awful lot!

Use your Stampin’ Blends Markers to emphasize a word to bring character and color to your cards. It’s an easy way to spruce up the inside!

I make a point in the video when discussing this card on how I would have changed it. A layer of vellum over the busy designer paper pattern would have broken up the die cut images allowing them to appear more prominent. In hindsight when we are creating is something I experience as well.
