Corner Flip Pop Up | Charming Day

The beauty of this fold is that it showcases both sides of your pretty patterned paper! You’ll make two (2) simple score lines and a crease and this corner flip is easily created.

Stamp and die bundles save you 10% and provide the convenience of both products. I used the dies independently for the corner of the inside of this card. Don’t miss my tip on how to line opened detailed dies. If you look closely you’ll see that this die cut is two-tone.

Experiment with what side of the designer paper you want facing ‘up’. I’ve found the simpler pattern works well if you’re adding a focal point to the front of the card. Be sure to ‘anchor’ any image or greeting you place here for easy opening.

Bee My Valentine

The Bee My Valentine stamp set isn’t just for Valentine’s Day. These adorable images and greetings create cards for much more!

The Cute as Can Bee designer series paper boasts and array of whimsical images and patterns. Unlike my first card, this time I opted for a ‘busier’ pattern on the outside. Keep in mind, if you choose to do that, that papers with a direction will need to be considered. Here, my corner shows the bees flying downward. It’s fine for bumblebees but might not be for other images so keep that in mind when designing.

The inside corner of this card showcases another pattern paper versus a stamped or die cut image. The possibilities for the corner are endless so get creative!

There’s a coordinating Bee Builder Punch that allows you to punch out the body, antennas and wings quickly and easily!

There’s more to the package of Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper. This package includes an abundant array of color coordinated laser cut images. Some imagery include foil designs!

These gorgeous flowers are pre-colored and die cut for you. The designer paper is included in the package as well which makes for quick scrapbook and card making projects.

The vellum arch is created using the Everyday Arches Dies. These layered, stitched dies are the perfect backdrop for any project and one of my favorites.

Once opened, the designer paper expands to showcase even more of these gorgeous flowers layered on gold foil. Can you ever have too much shimmer?

Wildflower Birthday

Take a close look at this card. While it still uses the Wildflower Birthday DSP and laser cut images, the corner pop up on this card is on the upper right versus the upper left like the previous cards.

The best part of this fun fold card is that you can invert the designer paper and allow the pop up to appear in another corner. Nothing is wasted should you make a mistake on which side “faces down” when scoring! A happy mistake always leads to a gorgeous result.

Use those foil papers! They add a lot of spark and elegance to your handmade projects.

Double sided designer papers provide so many options. Pro tip: Choose papers without a direction for ease in scoring and folding.

Sunrise Sailing

Masculine cards (mainly guy birthday cards) are among the toughest for me to design. As many women would attest, we love pretty florals. I made this card using the new Stampin’ Up! bundle called Sunrise Sailing.

The dies for this stamp set provide additional accessories like waves, masts and boat bases so you can construct a 3D boat versus a stamped image. But don’t worry, outline dies are included for a sizeable sailboat image.

I created a porthole window for the image by making a ring out of staggering sized circle dies. You can click HERE to learn how to make a ring/frame. This technique works great for any shape, too!

The inside corner includes a sunset which I created using a reverse masking technique. You can click HERE for a quick video on this technique.
