There’s nothing quite like a fancy fold card that doubles as 3D crafts. This diamond column pop up card expands so it’s free standing and makes the perfect pop out card for any special person or occasion.

Fun fold cards take simple card bases to another level by expounding on regular cardmaking ideas. I think you’ll agree that these column cards aren’t just special handmade cards but also pretty extraordinary. Double Diamond Pop Up Card | Label Me Grateful

Label Me Grateful Bundle (stamps + dies) was one of those products that I looked at, liked, but thought whether I ‘needed’ it or not. Guess what? I have used it so much and so glad I got it! The label die is amazing and works so well with any project. Spoiler alert. Scroll down to the second card to see it in action.

When creating I work with a variety of products, especially dies, to give you as many ideas as possible. Here I used the Spotlight on Natures Dies. It’s another favorite of mine!

The Timeless Plaid designer series paper is another ‘must have’ in my opinion. It’s one of those paper packs with a large palette of colors to use throughout the year and certainly for all types of cards. With a variety of plaids you’ll have patterns for everyone!

The Details

The best part of the Label Me Grateful Bundle are the dies that accompany the selection. The leaves you see here are all from the same die set.

When selecting layers for the card base consider contrasting colors. I’ve used Crumb Cake which is the perfect neutral to these rustic plaid colors.

While this card might look complicated, it’s quite easy to assemble. Create your first card using scrap cardstock so you’ll have a template. This eliminates the waste of ‘good’ cardstock and allows you to work out the any small errors you’ve made. It’s a tried and true system of mine for every fun fold I create.

Double Diamond Pop Up Card | Layers of Beauty

The Layers of Beauty Bundle is another that I’ve used over and over again. And that says a lot when you have as many stamps and dies as I do. The unique part of this die set is that you’re able to die cut a single rose or the entire image.

Not to mention that the Bundle includes an amazing set of stencils (masks as Stampin’ Up! calls them) to add color. Of course, the outline image allows those of you to color your image if you choose but the stencils make it quick and easy.

Here’s that exceptional label die from the Label Me Grateful Dies. The size and shape are perfect for any project.

After I die cut the single rose, I didn’t have the heart to waste the rest of the colored flowers. I adhered them using my Precision Glue Press to the upper sides of the backside which aligned perfectly!

Spooky Halloween

Fall is around the corner and with it comes Halloween. The Spooky Halloween stamp set (also offered as a Bundle) provides the perfect not-spooky greetings.

This adorable hippo is a colored, laser cut image that’s part of the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper package. There’s an array of images and even additional ones in the designer paper that can be fussy cut.

The designer paper was, in my opinion, brilliantly designed. This one specific pattern creates an ongoing neighborhood scene which is perfect for this type of column card.

The Power of Designer Paper

The pattern is continuous allowing me to adhere the pieces around the columns to complete the theme. Those adorable bats are also part of the designer paper. They are also colored, laser cut pieces.

The only stamping on this card are the sentiments. What could be easier! Great designer paper with lots of options always provides great cards in half the time!
