Shutter Card | Ornamental Christmas

There’s nothing more stunning than foil papers for the holidays. The sparkle and shimmer these papers bring are reminiscent of holiday lights and Hallmark movies!

easy card design

I’ve said it many times before, but black and white pattern papers have my heart. The simple color palette can be changed by adding ink with a blending brush, sponge dauber, alcohol based markers, etc. Black and white paper give you the ability to have any color designer paper you’ve ever wanted!

These gorgeous papers are called Modern Christmas. One side of the DSP includes beautiful foil designs while the other side is a simple, non-Christmas, black and white pattern that can be used all year long.

Shutter Card | Gingerbread Man

At first glance, the Gingerbread Man Bundle (stamps + coordinating dies) seems large but I have to admit, I’m pleasantly surprised by the versatility! The image is perfect for card fronts as well as gift tags. That means this bundle can play double duty. The gingerbread will be perfect for holidays banners, too!

The Bundle includes options for both stamping and die cutting the image or using the dies independently, like I’ve done here, to create your own gingerbread. With a variety of facial expressions you’ll have a hard time choosing which to use!

The size is perfect for the opening on this interactive card! As the gate fold is opened the shutters expand to reveal the inside, hidden greeting. It’s almost like ‘magic’ the way this fun fold card performs!

Know what else plays double duty? This designer paper! It’s called Christmas Tags & More and it’s appropriately named because one side is patterned paper and the other includes tags that can be cut out and used for gift packaging. There’s even pieces that includes imagery perfect for scrapbook pages.

Delicate Pines | Snowflakes

I love snowflakes! It could be because we don’t see them here in Florida, but as a Chicago native, I’ve experienced my fair share, shoveling them along the way! The fact that no two snowflakes are identical always amazes me. And that’s a good thing because no two cards are alike either!

Pretty Peacock is a deek turquoise color with an underlying touch of green. It’s both rustic, nostalgic and certainly woodsy – and perfect for this Elegant Pines Snowflakes designer paper.

die cut

Notice the metallic thread behind my snowflake! I love using these threads, especially around the holidays, to add extra shimmer and texture to my cards. You’ll find them in my Craft Room Favorites HERE.

designer paper

The dies themselves are abundant! There are literally dozens of ways to make different snowflakes. Your imagination is the only limit! The added pine cones and greenery will also allow you to use these dies without the snowflakes.
