Diagonal Gate Fold Card | Ornamental Christmas
The Modern Christmas designer paper isn’t just double-sided, it includes gorgeous foil accents on one side and generic patterns on the other making this pattern paper one you’ll use all year long!
It pairs beautifully with the coordinating Ornamental Christmas Bundle (stamps + dies) to make simple, elegant cards. Once the ornament was die cut I used the detailed die to create a 3D opening which perfectly holds gold sequins.
The only stamping on this card are the greeting and inside sentiment. With three score lines and two simple angled cuts you’ll have this card created in minutes.
The coordinating baker’s twine to this suite of products includes a two-back of black and gold and another spool of white and gold. These two basics will be useful well beyond the holiday card making season.
Change It Up!
With so many stunning options in this designer paper package I couldn’t decide which I preferred, so I made both!
Unlike the first card, the paper includes a black background with white script text which allows the gold foil ornament to stand out perfectly. TIP: When using a solid die cut on foil, place a piece of plain computer paper over the top before die cutting. This will help prevent the etch marks from your cutting plates to transfer to the foil.
Diagonal Gate Fold Card | Delicate Pines
It’s amazing what a simple snowflake image can produce! I inked the large snowflake in Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped off one layer of ink on scratch paper to reduce the color then used a Sponge Dauber with Pretty Peacock ink to add color to the tips.
These elegant pine needles make creating textured snowflakes simple. Stagger the various sizes in this abundant die set for a stunning focal point.
Since the Elegant Pines designer paper includes rich tones of greens and turquoise I opted to use a layer of vellum over the cardstock which mutes the shade just enough to allow this snowflake to be the visual point of this card.
A few simple layers and a sentiment on the inside is all you need unless you’d like to add a holiday family photo. Since the cards sits upright this is the perfect fun fold to display your favorite photo.
Quick and Simple | Jolly Delivery
This card took me under 10 minutes to make and that included deciding on which dies to house my image. The North Pole Delivery designer series paper is unique in that it includes two (2) 12″ x 12″ sheets of colored, laser cut images. Simple pop them out and add them to your card.
