Today’s cardmaking inspiration uses a double pop up tier card layout. This tiered card idea provides double the fun with two steps to expose your favorite designer/pattern paper, greetings and images.
A fun fold card is my favorite types of card to make. Unlike other DIY handmade greeting cards, fun fold cards allow me to create a template for the fold first, then choose my stamps, ink and paper according to the layout. Today’s pop up card ideas provide samples in two orientations; portrait and landscape. Don’t miss the landscape option! It shows off an amazing garden card theme!

Double Pop Up Card | Filled With Sweetness
If you love homemade goodness you’re going to love this Suite of products. The new Filled With Sweetness Bundle is combined here with the new Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper.

This card is thicker than normal, requiring extra postage, but it is an A2 size card. The double pop up feature is easily admired even from the front of this card.

The coordinating dies include all kinds of fun accessories like a spoon handle, bows, jar toppers and more.

What’s on the Inside
The best surprise is when the card is opened. The double tiers of this pop up card include expanding panels that provide ample space for your favorite pattern paper, sentiments and images.

Don’t miss the video where I show you how to create an easy variation of these blueberries using Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers.

The designer paper also provides jar images in varying ‘flavors’ that can be fussy cut and added to your cards for quick and easy creations.

Double Pop Up Card – Cutest Onesie
Hey, so my friend Judy’s daughter, Stephanie, is about to have her first baby. If you’re a grandparent, you know how exciting the anticipation is! I made this card to celebrate the big day.

The Mixed Patterns DSP is often my go-to since it includes a large array of different colors and patterns that pair well with just about any stamps and theme.

I paired the Endless Love Dies (hearts) to adorn the onesie and create a spot to house a few sentiments. Because, when aren’t hearts appropriate? This die set has been well loved already due to the versatility of the dies for any occasion.

I used Strawberry Slush cardstock to die cut the heart and then stamped the small heart image using the same color ink. Stampin’ Up!’ color coordination is what they’re known for – and for good reason!

The center panel of this step allows for additional text and images or die cuts while I left the bottom panel to pull the tiers of this pop up card together.

Help Me Grow
When I saw the Help Me Grow Dies I KNEW I had to have them. As an avid flower gardener I knew I could come up with a multitude of uses for these dies, both for men and women.

I used the Everyday Happiness DSP. Hurry! This paper is on the Last Chance Products list and it will sell out. The muted earthy tones include a variation of patterns you can use for both men and women.

The dies include several options for greenery and flowers which I die cut from a combination of Lost Lagoon cardstock and a simple pattern of the designer paper.

While it was nearly impossible to get the camera to fit into the tiers of this card, they show up amazingly well in person! Simple text from various other stamp sets were stamped on the plant stakes to provide an entry into the sentiment on the writing layer below.

A wonderful tip is to use designer paper to die cut any image you’d like. With an array of patterns you can pick and choose how you’d like to use them. It’s a wonderful idea when you don’t have the coordinating cardstock on hand and instantly provides a cohesive feel.

What designer/pattern paper will you use for your double pop up cards? Leave me a comment. I love to read your feedback because you often come up with ideas I never thought of!
