This 3D card includes a pop up feature that will surely amaze the recipient. Fun fold card are notorious for creating a ‘wow’ factor and this widow card is no exception.
This inside pop up card provides space for images that literally lift off the centerfold, making it perfect for flower cards or images with movement like butterflies, for example. I’ve included a template in the project sheet which also provides all the cutting dimensions, supplies and photos for all three fancy fold card ideas I’m sharing today.

3D Pop Up Window Frame Card | All Aflutter
The All Aflutter Bundle includes stamps and a coordinating punch, perfect for creating images quickly, especially for mass production. This card demonstrates how to use multiple images from the punch without any waste.
I chose to stamp the solid butterfly image, then added the two-step outline using Versamark and heat. I finished with gold embossing powder to coordinate with the metallic foil in the designer paper. Even heat embossed, the images punch out beautifully.
I used a retired stitched rectangle die but any shape die works as long as you need a 1/4″ margin between the crease lines. I’ve noted that in the template included with the project sheet linked below.
I used the same package of pattern paper for the outside and inside of this card. Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination makes it easy to create professional looking cards
The butterflies appear to float using a small strip of Window Sheet (acetate) which is attached to the pop up pillar. Strategically placing other butterflies around the raw end allow for a seamless appearance.
3D Pop Up Window Frame Card | Boutique Blossoms
The regal tones of the Floral Charm designer series paper provide an instant romantic and classic look to your handmade greeting cards.
I’ve paired the papers with the Boutique Blossoms Bundle (stamps + coordinating dies) and the Everyday Arches Dies. The greetings are from the Phrases & Frames stamp set.
The gorgeous prints on this designer paper were mimicked for the flowers. The two-step images for the rose provide instant texture and realism.
Adding embellishments around the pop up mechanism creates added sparkle while not taking away from the ‘floating’ images.
Given the roses’ substantial size, they complement the pop-up pillar well. Be sure to watch my video for placement pointers; image positioning is key to achieving the desired effect!
Flowering Meadow
Besides the awesome images and dies in the Flowering Meadow Bundle, I recommend the Velvet Meadow designer papers as a must-have due to their velvet flocking details.
I always allow the pattern paper to dictate the colors of my card. Here the deep Berry Burst paired with Daffodil Delight create the perfect flower cards.
This time I used the Sweet Words & Labels Dies for the opening. This elegant die works so well with the floral images and designer papers.
