October’s Studio Stamps in the Mail included the Night in Bethlehem Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies). Not sure what Studio Stamps in the Mail is – click HERE. Although all the images are beautiful, the skyline image of Bethlehem is what sealed the deal for me. I’ve enjoyed using it in many different ways, including today’s card.
I cut a piece of Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper 3 3/4″ x 5″ to layer on the card base. Using the Large Letters Framelits, I die cut the word “Noel”.
The skyline image is one long stamp which made it easy for me to cover the length of these letters. I simply lined the letters up on my Grid Paper (I love those printed lines so I knew it was straight.) and stamped the image using Basic Black Archival ink. This ink pad is pigment based so it requires a few extra minutes to dry.
Mini Dimensionals were used to elevate the letters on the designer paper to provide depth. I cut 30″ of the Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine and wrapped it around the card base twice and finished with a bow.
When I finished this card I wasn’t sure if I really liked it. I was concerned that that “skip” in the image among the letters took away from the design. But the more I looked at it the more I liked it. I’m drawn to things that are “outside of the box” and unexpected and this card definitely fits that category.
If you’re looking for another simple, yet impressive, Christmas card to create this year, this is a wonderful option. The Night in Bethlehem is available as a Bundle or you can purchase just the stamp set or just the dies separately. Purchasing in a Bundles saves you 10% and quite honestly, you won’t want one without the other.
You can find these supplies in my online store HERE. Don’t forget to take a look at my online ordering REWARDS program, too. You can find those details HERE.
Reserve your Stamparatus!
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open! The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.
Please note the following changes:
- Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
- In order to accommodate demand you may only reserve one.
- Make it perfect – and EASY! You’re about to be WOW’d. Stamping multiple images with PERFECT placement is now a breeze with the Stamparatus! Click HERE to see this amazing tool in action! The current reservation period continues through December 30th or while supplies last!
- Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations this is the last chance for you to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.
