I’ve been asked how often I stamp. As much as I’d like to say that I stamp every day there are videos, photographing and blogging that also take up a lot of my time. Typically I stamp about 4-5 times a week and honestly, I’d love if it was every day. Paper crafting is truly my passion!

With all that stamping you can imagine the amount of cardstock (and adhesive!) that I go through!  Storing my scraps is an important aspect of designing as it allows me to use the smaller leftovers for punched for die cut images without cutting a full sheet. I’ll be sharing a video on Thursday that shows you how I store my scraps. Be sure to come back to see it.

And those scraps come in quite handy!  I cut small strips of Real Red cardstock to create an area to frame this elf image.  Five strips were cut 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ and seven strips were cut 1/4″ x 1 3/4″. I placed the Whisper White cardstock layer on top of my Grid Paper. The grid lines are marked at every 1/4″ making it the perfect alignment tool for this layout.

I colored in the elf using Stampin’ Write markers in Emerald Envy, Blushing Bride, Real Red and Soft Suede.  The new Stampin’ blends would be perfect for this image as well.  If you haven’t checked out Stampin’ Up!’s newest alcohol-based markers be sure to take a look HERE.

Just like the Stampin’ Blends, the Stampin’ Write markers have both a fine point tip on one end and a brush tip on the other. The dual tips allow you to get into those tiny spaces – like the bells on the shoes and the pom pom on the hat.

And before you ask, yes, I fussy cut this image. There is are no dies for this stamp set but as many of you know, I really enjoy fussy cutting and it took me less than a minute to do.

Stamparatus Reservations CHANGE!

Perfect alignment every time and the easiest way to make multiple images with the Stamparatus by Stampin' Up! This stamp placement tool is unlike anything on the market!

The results are in! The first Stamparatus reservation window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes, which provided Stampin’ Up! with some very important information: You LOVE this new stamping tool! We couldn’t be more thrilled; in fact, your response was so amazing that we’ve decided to make some important adjustments to the reservation process.

As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open! The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.

Please note the following changes:

  • Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand you may only reserve one.
  • Make it perfect – and EASY!  You’re about to be WOW’d. Stamping multiple images with PERFECT placement is now a breeze with the Stamparatus! Click HERE to see this amazing tool in action! The current reservation period continues through December 30th or while supplies last!
  • Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations this is the last chance for you to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.
  • Click HERE to reserve your Stamparatus!
