I came home from the hospital on Friday night and doing remarkably well. Thank you for all the cards and well wishes. It’s a slow recovery process but each day I see improvement. During the next several weeks I’ll be sharing “Throwback Thursday” quick tip videos. These videos will be a few of the favorites viewed on my YouTube channel.
A few days ago I shared a card that used scraps of Real Red cardstock to create a border. If you missed that post you can find it HERE. In that post I promised to share a video on how I stored my cardstock scraps. Hanging file folders left me frustrated since smaller scraps fell out the open sides. I also often struggled with keeping the hanging files as I rummaged through the folders. Although this video was created in February 2016, this system is still in place and works wonderfully for me. In my 19 year tenure as a demonstrator I’ve used this system for 17 of those years. That’s how wonderfully it works!
You can find these accordion file folders at any office supply store. The one shown here has numbered sections, 1-31 representing the days of the month. I believe this filing system was originally designed for accounts payable/billing but I found the slots plentiful for every color of Stampin’ Up! cardstock. I used ta punch (now retired) to create the color swatches but any symmetrical shape punch will suffice. The name of each color was printed on an Avery label and added alongside the color swatch.

Or maybe you need to drop a hint to a loved on that you’d like a shopping spree for yourself! Gift certificates are redeemable in any denomination. (U.S. customers only.) Reserve your Stamparatus!
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open! The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.
Please note the following changes:
- Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
- In order to accommodate demand you may only reserve one.
- Make it perfect – and EASY! You’re about to be WOW’d. Stamping multiple images with PERFECT placement is now a breeze with the Stamparatus! Click HERE to see this amazing tool in action! The current reservation period continues through December 30th or while supplies last!
- Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations this is the last chance for you to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

Hi Cherie! Thank you for your thoughtfulness as I continue to heal. So glad you enjoyed the tip.
Lisa, I like your work! We are related somewhere down the line as we share the same last unusual name! Praying for your complete recovery.
Hi Clare! How about that – same last name! I’ve been asked over and over again if we have family in New York but we don’t. My husband’s family is from Washington state. Small world and yes, there is probably some family connection! I’m so glad you enjoy my blog. Thanks for coming by and thanks, too for the well wishes on my recovery!
Great tip Lisa. So glad you are feeling a little better.
Hi Cheryl! Glad you like the tip. Thanks for the well wishes. Slow and steady wins the race, right? 😀
