Bob the Builder is an amazing Dad! Whether it was teaching Boo how to drive or currently assembling new furniture pieces, he’s loving and patience. And as a side note, why is furniture sold in a box that requires hours to assemble? Bob the Builder is definitely a VIP in my book.
This “Dad” card is perfect for birthday, retirement or Father’s Day and uses strips of coordinating designer paper to create a panel background. I used the Truly Tailored stamp set (also featured in the May Studio Stamps in the Mail FREE card kit – CLICK HERE!). The greeting is stamped on a cardstock banner with a rugged button for the perfect embellishment. Stampin’ Up!’s Truly Tailored stamp set and True Gentlemen Designer Paper and buttons are being retired on May 31st.
The True Gentlemen Designer Paper is cut 1/2″ x 3″ from 8 different patterns. Stampin’ Up!’s double-sided designer papers are included in just about all the packs which allows for lots of variety. I adhered the strips to a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 3″ x 4″.
I’m not a fan of naked buttons so I used a piece of Linen Thread to fill the button holes. The thread is thin enough to easily slip through each hole then I created a knot in the back.
My Dad was definitely a VIP in my life and I miss him dearly. Perhaps your guy VIP is your husband, son-in-law or significant other. Men like cards too! Create a few of these panel cards and use various greetings for different occasions.

Another great masculine designed card Lisa, thank you as I find these difficult generally to put together unless the man/lad/boy has a specific hobby etc. I just can’t understand why SU has retired this suite when it was only just introduced and it was proving to be very, very popular. I do hope that there is going to be something to replace it. :O)
