Last Thursday night I held a Live event on YouTube where I shared how to create this striped birthday card using the Varied Vases stamp set. I have include the Live event recording here for you to enjoy. I’ve also included pictures, cutting dimensions and the supplies I’ve used. Be sure to scroll down to see them. The Varied Vases stamp set has a coordinating Vase Builder Punch. You can choose to purchase these items as a Bundle which will save you 10%.

The striped background uses strips of Sahara Sand cardstock to highlight the vase image. Adding strips of cardstock to the background of your card is a great way to use up your scraps and add simple texture to your cards.Sahara Sand is a color that’s often overlooked. This amazing neutral color coordinates well with many of the new colors added this year.

Speaking of colors, make sure you watch the video to see an alternate Gorgeous Grape and Sahara Sand combination of this same card. if you’re wondering what Stampin’ Up! colors coordinate well together I’ve got a PDF Color Coaches to help you. You can download them for free – click HERE.
