Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to use watercolor pencils to shade a flower. Watercoloring provides beautiful tones and depth to your handmade cards. But I often hear how it seems difficult for stampers to achieve successful results. The card featured in today’s video uses the August promotion “Blended Seasons” stamp set, coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits and the new Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. As a reminder, The entire “Color Your Season” products are only available while supplies last or August 31, whichever comes first. I’ve included information below.

Watercolor Pencils, or any watercoloring medium, requires the correct ink to stamp your image. Use Jet Black Staz On ink to insure the image won’t bleed. Use the right paper. Watercolor Paper or Shimmery White cardstock will produce the best results since these papers are more porous and allow the water from the Aqua Painter or the chemical from the Blender Pen to penetrate. Finally, take your time and enjoy the process. A sloppy colored image will look like a sloppy colored image regardless of the right ink or paper. Practice makes perfect!

Take a look at today’s video below and learn how to use the watercolor pencils for professional and stunning results. I’ve also included pictures of the completed card along with cutting dimensions and supplies.
