Over the last two weeks I’ve been stymied by the winter-like weather in the northern states and decided it was time to help warm you up. I promise, spring is on its way!

The beachy images in the Beach Happy stamp set (retiring after June 3) include a collection of images and four different greetings that range from thanks to relax. It’s the perfect stamp set to show you 3 handmade cards with easy layouts!

 3 Handmade Cards – Beach Card Details

This adorable card is easy enough for the beginner! Crumb Cake and Soft Sea Foam are definitely beachy colors and this card includes them both. A pop of Flirty Flamingo will have you dreaming of the crashing waves and wiggling your toes in the sand!

Want a great background tip? Use images from the same stamp, inking them in the coordinating ink as your cardstock to create a perfect faux designer paper look. If you don’t have the same color ink as the cardstock use Versamark. This watermark pad is perfect for adding tone on tone color.

Add a natural beach card feel using strands of Burlap Ribbon and a simple single knot bow. Not sure how to make this bow? Check out the instructions in the video.

Cutting Dimensions

• Whisper White cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
• Soft Sea Foam cardstock layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Crumb Cake cardstock layer is cut 2 1/2″ x 4″
• Flirty Flamingo cardstock layer (edge) is cut 1″ x 3 1/2″

Beach Card – Alternate Idea 1

Are you a casual stamper defined as someone who is a bit more experienced. If you fall into the avid stamper category than this card layout will be perfect for you!

I used the Ruffled Dynamic Embossing Folder (retiring June 3) and created a decorative edge for my image layer using the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape (also retiring June 3). The alcohol-based Stampin’ Blends are my favorite way of coloring as they provide flawless coverage without the streaky lines that markers leave behind.

Cutting Dimensions

• Granny Apple Green cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 /14″
• Thick Whisper White cardstock layer is cut 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
• Mint Macaron cardstock is cut 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

Beach Card – Alternate Idea 2

Are you an avid stamper? Then this alternate beach card layout is just for you!

I used Glossy White Cardstock as the card base and created random stripes using the Pool Party Combo Stampin’ Blends markers. Don’t overthink the lines – just draw. Crooked, wavy lines are exactly what you’re going for!

Create what I call a “polaroid” frame using the Layering Squares Framelits dies. Layer a piece of Whisper White Cardstock behind it with your stamped trees for a 3D “window”. This two-step stamp set allows you to fill the chair stripes and the beach bag using one stamp. No coloring required! I used my Paper Snips and cut out both images and adhered them to a small torn layer of Crumb Cake cardstock to represent sand.

Cutting Dimensions

• Glossy White cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″
• Glossy White cardstock for “polaroid frame” is cut 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
• Whisper White cardstock layer (for trees behind frame) are cut 3 3/8″ x 3 3/8″
• Crumb Cake cardstock layer (for sand) is cut 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
