Learn how to make a colorful fun greeting card by mixing and matching stamp sets. Today’s rainbow background uses the Playful Backgrounds stamp set from the annual catalog. Those fun stripes screamed a little R&R so I mixed in the greeting from the Beach Happy stamp set (Occasions Catalog) for a fun and colorful greeting card.
The Playful Backgrounds stamp set is photopolymer and I’ve packed today’s video with tips to help you get the best impression from these polymer stamps. Be sure to scroll down past the video to see this fun and colorful greeting card’s pictures and the supplies I’ve used.

Fun & Colorful Greeting Card Details
Double layers of Whisper White cardstock provide perfect texture when separated by Dimensionals. This fun and colorful greeting card pops with a small layer of black cardstock and a simple white heat embossed greeting.
I typically don’t point out the ‘flaws’ in my cards but I need to today. Look at the first stripe in the image below. The color looks ‘separated’ and streaky, doesn’t it? This can happen with brand new photopolymer stamps but it’s easily preventable! Priming them will allow the ink to adhere to the image for a much better impression. Don’t miss the video for the priming instructions (it’s super easy!).
The best way to absorb some white space on your cards is by adding a simple accessory such as rhinestones, pearls or sequins as I have done here. The Iridescent Sequin Assortment is a perfect addition to your accessory collection since the colors mimic so many different shades. I’ve included tips in the video about using the Fine-Tip Glue that you’ll find helpful.
