Cool Card Making Technique Details
You’ll find the Jar of Flowers stamp set on page 12 of the new annual catalog. Don’t miss the coordinating Jar Punch on page 168. Purchase them as a Bundle and save 10%!
Perfect alignment is easy for this 9-piece stamp set with these clear photopolymer stamps. Today’s video teaches you the masking technique, perfect for making sure the flowers appear inside the vase. All you’ll need is a Post-It-Note, the stamp image and an ink pad. Save the masks to use over and over again.
The faux glass technique is achieved with the Fine-Tip Glue. This glue dries completely clear and the precision needle tip allows for precise placement. My video provides lots of tips on how to best spread the glue and drying time.
Check out the backgrounds! There are two different images used on this card. One is a large background stamp (Birch) and another a background image from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. Tired of trying to manhandle those large background stamps? Wait until you see my time!
Finally, make 6 (yes, I said SIX!) different size tags with the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. It’s a MUST HAVE!

The flowers on your card are so pretty. I need to watch your video a little later……..they are always inspiring!
Thank you, Vicki! This card has my heart because of the colors. I hope you’ll give this technique a try. Thanks for coming by!
What a great card! As always, your video is wonderful, filled with tips. I have forgotten to reorder the glue – used it on umbrellas and rain boots. It is sometimes bumpy, maybe from air bubbles? I tend to draw downward, will try small dots. Thanks so much!
Thank you, Margaret! Appreciate you coming by.
I loved this card. I used what I had. The glue isn’t as shiny as yours but I had it. I was going to leave a picture but can’t figure out how to do that. Thanks I love your YouTube page and I have made 2 of your cards!
I love that you improvised, Julie! YEAH!
When I went to glue it all together the crumb cake layer was larger than the base. So then everything was off a bit. I was able to take it apart and trim each layer down.
So glad you were able to make the ‘fix’, Julie!
Just so you know. The crumb cake dimension of 4 1/4 is the same as the front of the card 4 1/4. I ended up with crumb cake 5 3/8 x 4 1/16. So saffron 5 1/4 x 3 7/8
Hi Lisa – This was the first time that I have watched a video of yours. I am so very glad that I did! I tried your faux glass technique & it worked perfectly! I do not have the fine tip glue, but I used the Tombow clear liquid glue & it did the job! Your directions were awesome. I have signed up for your newsletter so look forward to many more great techniques! Thank you so much, Lisa!
Hi Gloria! I’m so glad you’ve come by to watch. Thank you! And I’m very happy to read that you were able to recreate this technique using products you own!
Hi Lisa really lovely card, thank you for sharing I love watching your channel.
