I’m so excited to show you how to make a slim line window card PLUS this slim line has a bonus feature that includes a fold out with extended room to write or decorate!
Slim line cards fit into a business size envelope but I’ll also be teaching you how to make a coordinating designer paper envelope that’s super easy! Be sure to scroll down for the photo template for the envelope.
In addition to today’s slim line window card I’ll also be sharing a non-window slim line card. This alternate idea can be easily adapted to a window by die cutting the opening (or not!) as I’ve done for today’s card. Be sure to scroll down to see all the pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies.

Slim Line Window Card Video Tutorial
Not only am I going to teach you how to make a window card, we’ll make this card into a slim line card. You’ll be looking at the Flight of Fancy stamp set in a whole new way!

Slim Line Window Card Details
The Flight of Fancy stamp set can be found on page 59 of the Mini Catalog. The three angel images each represent a different holiday complete with their own scene. If you missed how I used the “cupid” angel, CLICK HERE to see how the image can be altered.
I used the Rectangle Stitched Dies for the opening on this card but you can use any shape die or even a punch. If using a die, be sure to watch my video for a great tip about preventing die cutting through the layers of this tri-fold card.
I colored my angel using the Stampin’ Blends markers but these images are also perfect for dye-based markers or watercolor pencils.
And don’t miss the inside of the card. This greeting comes from the Christmas Means More stamp set (Mini Catalog page 29) which includes four unique and memorable greetings – perfect for your holiday cards and scrapbook pages.
Slim Line Window Card – “Without the Window” Christmas Card Alternate Idea
I love to provide you with alternate ideas and while this card doesn’t have a window, it could easily be adapted by die cutting the stitched circle just as I did the stitched rectangle.
I opted to share a traditional slim line card that features the images and greetings on the outside which allow even more room on the inside for your message or even a place to adhere a family Christmas photo.
The Wishes & Wonder Bundle (stamp set + coordinating dies) can be found on page 32 of the Mini Catalog. Not only will the dies cut out the images in the stamp set, there are additional dies for cards, tags, gift packaging and scrapbook pages.
I chose the greeting from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. It fits perfectly in the North Pole Wonder Dies that are part of this Bundle.
If you love nostalgic winter and Christmas designer papers you’ll love the Toile Tidings Designer Paper (page 25 of the Mini Catalog). Basic red and green papers coordinate beautifully with this Bundle.
